  I suspect that a number of women leave the industry due to the ongoing threat and occurrence of sexually transmitted diseases, and infections incurred from the bacterial contamination which results from anal-to-vaginal penetration. Burn-out is also a factor, the work is physically demanding, but it tends to extract a psychological toll which is far more pervasive. I don't think most women who get into porn "wake up one morning" and casually decide to do a video. I think people fall into it more often than making a flippant decision or a calculated career move. Often there is often a process of seguing into the work from other areas of the sex industry. I think in many of those cases the performance aspect of lights, camera, action...
