  I always shave in a warm/hot shower. I use a Gillette Sensor Excel men's razor. I seem to nick myself less in general with them. Like Steph, I always shave with the grain and then against the grain. I seem to have less irritation that way. I shave about every 3 days and change the shape of the hair left every few months. Although it sounds very tempting, I try not to have sex immediately after shaving because every time I do I get a rash from the friction. (Although it's always worth it!)
