  Hi. I'm a new member and am a John Leslie fan (if you couldn't tell by my screenname). His stuff is the only stuff I can really get into at all anymore. I check out an occasional feature or gonzo now and then, but find the features really aren't features anymore and most gonzo is just more of the same. Leslie, on the other hand, always keeps me interested, even though he doesn't do plots anymore. I'm pretty sure at this point that I own everything he's done and he's had some disappointments over the years, but I can't say he's done anything which I would consider remotely bad.   Strange Curves is a version of "Strangers on the Train", or "Throw Momma from the Train", if you prefer. "Lust on the Orient Express" is based, of course on "Murder on the Orient Express", but also has much basis in the Thin Man series.

  Anything That Moves is a masterpiece. I certainly don't recommend it as a film for somebody seeking a jerk-off video. It's very stylish, has a real plot, but is very erotic. Great couples movie or for anybody into something different. You seem to also be quite a Leslie fan, Corey. The hardest one for me to find was "Bare Market", which I ended up buying at a flea market. Sadly, only about half of his VCA stuff has been released on DVD. Most stores only seem to sell his important stuff- Nightshift Nurses, The Catwoman, Chameleon, The Voyeur series. All of those movies you listed are quality Leslie, though. I'm surprised Laying the Ghost and Angels haven't been released on DVD yet, considering they both star Savannah. I'm hoping one...

  John Leslie obviously has a fetish for voyeurism. I know that now he's probably primarily considered a gonzo director, but his features had many scenes involving voyeurs. I think he's into creepy sex in general, which is always fun, :).

  Corey- I have also noticed this in my copy and this is bullshit. "Bad" is even worse. I've seen the original copy before and none of the stuff edited is remotely offensive. I don't remember ever hearing about VCA being sued, but can bet it probably has something to do with the Marilyn Chambers rape scene in "Insataiable". Either way today, with all of the extreme gonzo shit on the market, there's no way that a fifteen year old feature would get any notice for a courtcase. I say bring back all of Leslie's classics unedited!
