Aha, so now we have corroboration. The bio is for Kelly Nichols not Barbara Alton. Therefore, and I didn't make my original point clearly enough, if one piece of information is suspect then we should treat ALL of the information as suspect.

Now that is some extensive bio - which was not there last time I visited that website (which I classify as a commercial site) back in 2006. I have a note that she was born in Cleveland, Ohio - but don't recall where I got that information from. The bio makes no mention of birthplace, just that she grew up in West Govina, California. I know of no other website that provides "any" information regarding her birthday and yet this bio gives a full date of birth. I would question the authenticity of this bio as I can find no corroborative information out there.

The quoted birthdate is the same as the one quoted on the original 'Official Pornstar Birthday List' (for those with very long memories) as well as Peter van Aarle's own data as provided via 'The Jamal Database' (also no longer around). When I last checked Heidi Kat's IAFD entry (in terms of it being available) her debut year was given as 1991, which would make her aged 20. All of the above sources have more credence in my book than does IMDB.

The Luke Ford website also reported this story on 14 May 2007 and yet now I can't find any links on the site to that item on his site. That item also said that she had been sick for a decade and had a genetic heart defect. It also said that she'd had 15 operations in the last 7 years. It strikes me that were this to be true the healthcare expense alone would have used up any savings, unless she had a healthcare plan which my impression is few have in the adult industry. And if it were true others would know, and all the information that I've read says nobody else is reporting this story.

This might be the same issue or might be a different issue but I've noticed that sometimes the birthday information on the front page is different from that on the performer page. I've always put it down to where the information is being sourced from on the database, as my impression is that the performer page information can be more up to date than the front page. I've been using Firefox for well over 12 months and have never had any problems getting onto this site. Have you tweaked anything either by using 'Tools', 'Options' or by some of the available Add-Ons (previously known as extensions) - such as scripts for example? Are you using the most up to date version of Firefox 2.0.0.2? Are there any other sites that you have problems with?

I see that Wiki have not reinstated any name. It now says "Removed at the request of the performer". Maybe I was too subtle in the way that I put my comment yesterday. As far as I'm concerned Wiki is a useful source of information as is ADT, IAFD and even Luke Ford, amongst others. But NONE of them should be taken in isolation as there is an awful lot of misinformation out there and sites like Wiki are especially susceptible.

This reads like a good idea although I suspect that in reality it will be a huge task. I've noticed many anomolies with ethnicity on IAFD due, I suspect, to the contributors coming from many different countries. In some of these countries the writers first language might not be English, in others the language might be the same but the understanding different. A prime example would be Czechoslovakia which split some years ago into the Czech Republic (or some say Czechia) and Slovakia (or some say Slovak Republic). Searches and all other enquiries on the site are all working OK for me as well. I don't recall that I've had any speed/response time related issues for several weeks. Maybe it's your internet connection that's got issues.
