  Mike, do you think there will be some medium for customers who want to own HD movies? If everything is online, this prevents customers from being able to watch product at their choosing because internet speed/connectivity/downtime etc will all basically prevent true ownership of the product and being able to view it whenever you want. I personally hate watching stuff off the computer online--especially adult stuff. Even cable providers suffer from downtime and at times slow traffic across the lines. A physical medium is definitely my preference.

  Is it likely that DVD releases shot in HD (but not simultaneously released in Blu-ray) will be released in Blu-ray in the future if/when blu-ray production costs drop?

  Thanks for the info markaudess. I was wondering why Blu-ray is not being produced more and suspected it was something to do with cost. If HD-DVD had won the war would it be in a similar cost-prohibitive production position? Or was HD-DVD more affordable to produce and manufacture? Would everything have an HD-DVD version today if HD-DVD had won the war? I was rooting for HD-DVD when the format war was going on.

  Several titles that I'm interested in purchasing advertise that they were shot in HD and yet I can not find a Blu-ray release for the title. One example is Diabolic's New To The Game series. Will these DVD titles be released in Blu-ray eventually when prices drop? Why advertise HD on a DVD title with no Blu-ray option?

  I wish I'd seen this post before buying the You and Me POV! I was disappointed to see the letterbox. I tried to return the movie but no luck. This was a major screw up for whoever was responsible in taking care of this otherwise great movie. I'd definitely buy it in anamorphic Blu-ray though. I'm adding my vote to yours gr8vine for Hush Hush to release it again in Blu-ray! Shame on Hush Hush for releasing an HD-shot movie in letterbox! I'll be hesitant to buy from them in the future.

  I was told that 7 and 8 do have watermarks :( But #6 does NOT. So I will buy vol. 6. Too bad Digital Sin has gone the way of New Sensations. I will be crossing off all titles from these studios released within the last year or so as they will most likely have watermarks. You gotta wonder about the leadership/business decisions at these companies. Hopefully they'll stop putting watermarks on or go out of business.

  I hate downloading and watching stuff on my computer. I much prefer to have a DVD. If I'm paying money to obtain the DVD, why should I have to suffer with a watermark? But thanks for pointing this out.

  Thanks. I'm sure it's a good DVD. I've liked a lot of what I've seen from New Sensations/Digital Sin. But I'm not going to pay money to buy a DVD that has a watermark. I'd rather buy something else for my collection that doesn't use watermarks.

  I've used them too. I like that they let you see clips of the movies. I don't understand why trailers aren't freely available. Porn studios are pretty stupid about this (except Evil Angel-which is the pinnacle of porn studios). I pretty much won't buy unless I can see the trailer first. Studios should make a trailer for the DVD they are releasing and distribute it freely (especially to stores). I bet it would help increase sales.
