I can't speak for what happens on professional studio sets, but I film videos for amateur ladies that sell clips. One showed me a list of things to bring on set she got off of some website and it included Rx painkillers for rough scenes. I guess the philosophy is to get an extreme scene and regret it in the morning rather than take your time and speak up when its too much. (I'd rather take it slow since I usually get paid by the hour anyways.)

As I was looking for the same performer with the vine tattoo, I stumbled across this post and a deleted Yahoo question: "What porn star had a side piece?
