  Jacco -- I know musicians get a lousy cut of CD (and now iTunes) sales, but they get a lot more than 10% of the revenue from concerts, etc. Pro athletes get close to 50% of league revenue, while Hollywood actors are somewhere between the music biz and pro sports.   I'm not suggesting porn actresses should retire with a bank account that looks like Michael Jordan's. My point is simply that the actual performers seem to get paid a far smaller % of the porn industry's revenue than performers receive in just about any other industry, whether it's sports or Hollywood or the music business. Just as a round number, let's say porn is a $1 billion business. Does anyone think the performers are receiving even 10% of that amount? I certainly don't.   The Penny Flame story isn't even close to unique to porn. It's true in almost every walk of life, from pro sports to Wall Street to politics. Hell, multiple members of Congress are in foreclosure as I write this. I bet there are some stealth millionaires in porn, and I wouldn't be surprised if Lisa Ann was one of them. If she's truly on the road 50 weeks per year, that means she's making most of her money in cash, plus her day-to-day living expenses are paid (assuming the clubs have to pay for travel and/or hotel). Unless she has a drug habit or goes shopping every day before she dances, she's exactly the type of person who could have big money stashed away.   Thanks for the reply. Very interesting. Did porn stars actually live in Rochester back then or did they simply visit occasionally because there was a good studio there? After living in (conservative) Rochester, I can't imagine a bunch of porn stars hanging around town for long periods of time. It would have been culture shock on both sides of the equation.   I wonder this all the time. In particular, I've always wondered where Cheri Taylor ended up. As I recall, she didn't get into porn until her late 30s (after a divorce?), and then she abruptly left a few years later.
