Edited by - BlackSix on 10/20/2016 11:16:18 AM I second, especially about Lansky. My only wish is that the performers would have better acting - that would definitely enhance the hotness of the scenes. Blacked and Vixen both have some really promising, sexy lead-in scenarios that are ruined by performers who have zero sense of how to deliver lines. The scenes that involve more psychological elements of D/s or cuckolding (Jade Nile's first blacked scene, Mona Wales, Gigi Allen) are a bit more along the lines of what I'm looking for, as you have to be good at more than just the sex to make a compelling scene as y...

If the porn industry thinks that they can take their existing philosophy regarding porn and somehow tweak it to cater to a female audience than they are kidding themselves. I think your average woman doesn't really care all that much about the hardcore aspect of porn. They much prefer the interaction between the performers prior to anything sexual being discussed or shown and they certainly care about the interaction after the sex. I don't think they care all that much about seeing the actual fucking in large part because I think women will automatically see the young thin woman and feel that this in no way represents their actual look and resent that the model is better looking then them. It's differ...

^ Tremendous points, murdock. I agree, both with your point about not treating an entire gender as a monolith as well as the higher cost associated with better quality videos. The issue you've highlighted is that we have businessmen running studios who are stuck in an old market paradigm that because of tube sites and saturation of their product is netting them limited returns. I just don't buy that it's too expensive to innovate when the alternative is a slow death. Mason's websites are relatively inexpensive to subscribe to, and they use the same 5-6 houses. Advances in technology mean that it's far cheaper today to make high quality videos from a camera perspective, and decent editing is also not as labor intensive as it once was. Instea...

That could be anything from organizing boycotts, make it a trending topic on twitter, support companies who make diverse product or file a racism complaint with the Justice Dept but do something. ^^ I watch porn for the storyline. I am hoping for the day when mainstream films can depict unsimulated sex so that we can combine good acting, good directing, good writing, good cinematography with an erotic experience. It might be tmi, but I prefer to edge when watching a feature length porno, so I don't even really need scenes with 20 minutes straight of sex acts at a time - it can...
  • Any examples of IR where race wasn't a big deal? 10/17/2016 3:41:17 AM
^ I thought I was pretty clear in the OP. I'm looking for scenes with actors of different ethnicities where the key element is the chemistry between the performers, and not racial fetish. A really easy metric for what I'm looking for is this: Is it something that would make sense in the context of the scene if all of the performers were the same race? That filters out scenes that rely on racial stereotypes or tropes (mail order Asian wife, thug black dude, hoodrat, deflowered Muslim girl, etc). blacked.com has cleaned things up, and has gotten rid of the degredation, putting black male performers as characters who are more than just hood thugs - actors, powerful businessmen etc. I was actually even more impressed by sister site vixen.com wh...

For as tame as Naughty America is, for example, whenever they do an IR scene (which, to be fair, is like 2-6 times a year at best) race isn't mentioned at all, it's just like all their other scenes. Brazzers is usually the same way. People like Mason also shoot IR scenes where race isn't the focus of the scene (though the movie it appears in may be an IR movie). Basically, when a site/series bills itself as all IR, then they are, more often than not, going to fetishize the racial aspect of it. Edited by - whatsatelephonebill on 3/27/2015 2:24:42 AM True. White women can have actual feelings for Black men, not just fetishes for Mandingos. You need to go to European productions if you want scenes for a non-white person to sex a black person without race being mentioned. The fact that IR is it's own specific genre that oddly only refers to white on black sex means that for the American market, at least, sex with a black person is a fetish. As much as that sucks, you have to remember that the biggest consumers of IR porn are white males, who are specifically seeking that racialized aspect. Blacked.com is certainly elevating the quality of IR, ...

Very interesting porn service that has a lot of big names: customs4u.com Basically, it's like fiverr, except for porn. You can select by your fetish or by favorite model, select desired video quality, length, additional fantasy details of your choosing and delivery date, and the chosen model will make a video for you.

If I patent my idea I'm going to spend half my life defending the patent. It's frustrating because my idea is completely feasible using existing technology and current performers. It completely side-steps with the piracy and tube-site issues. It would make money, be safe for performers, and would appeal to a wide range of porno fans. Any advice would be great. Is there any porn star that can actually act (not within a sex scene-but in dialogue scenes)? I think porn stars have about as much acting ability as Pro-Wrestlers do. Hollywood actors have got nothing to worry about that's for sure. Kayden Kross

When viewers look at the work of female directors today, not just from major names like Mason (who I love) but also films from people like the great Shine Louise Houston who are basically working outside of the system, it is immediately clear that womens' taste in porn is far from uniform and defies attempts at generalization. There is no average female porn viewer and searching for her is futile. Meanwhile, real women who actually exist are directing incr...

Furthermore, interpreting the results of each study would be no easy task. I don't know how results like that can even begin to be utilized by adult film producers. Surely they can try and good luck to them if they do, but a simpler solution would be to get considerably more female talent behind the camera and see what happens. Edited by - misspornUSA on 5/17/2014 2:03:18 PM Interpretation wouldn't be easy, but it would be used to help give producers an idea of the kinds of elements for female directors to experiment with. An interesting plot - can be humorous or dramatic. Does not matter - script just has to be decent Good acting - so I can actually get into the plot. Chemistry between actors, with improvised lines Good production value - good lighting, camerawork, shot in HD Variety of luxurious sets - luxury high-rise, beach bungalow, yacht, etc Actors and costume - variety of ethnicities, athletic bodies, designer clothes/shoes (when they're wearing any), and designer lingerie So basically a good indie movie script with Hollywood production value and A-list actors with Andrew Blake-style costume and locale. And lots of raw, passionate sex. With a MFF blowjob for the last sex scene.

misspornUSA wrote: The best that porn producers can do is to hire a lot more female directors and see what they come up with. Far too many of us will not speak honestly and openly about our porn habits, even to other women (for fear of ostracization) or our partners. Thus, trying to figure out what the "average woman" wants to see in porn is, at least currently, not a realistic option. Maybe not porn, but there's already been considerable scientific research on female sexuality and arousal in general. Surely some insights from that can be used to inform the porn product in a meaningful way.
