Laptop's are even worse when your trying to watch DVDs portably. 2 BIG problems stand in the way of current laptops: 1. Most laptops have an average battery life of 1.5 hours or less. 2. Most laptops lack built-in, physical controls/buttons for navigating. (fast forward keys, Op. System Display button, etc.)

I currently own a PDP with a 10.2 inch LCD resolution of 80 hex 480. It STILL looks like crap compared to the CLARITY (size has nothing to do with it) of a high-res. monitor or T.V. Another annoyance that I could do without is those annoying disk doors. Slot-load PDP's woul be much better.

Well I know I'd GLADLY pay top dollar for a portable DVD player that actually could display images as good as, if not great than say.. my laptop screen. What ticks me off is that Sony has an 8-inch PDP that only has a LCD max res. of 40 hex 200. Yet LG has an 8 inch that has an lcd max res of 80 hex 400. So, you see it's all up to the companies. Hopefully they'll get the message that people like me are tired of staring at that fuzzy, un-defined image.
