  Wow, after reading the wikipedia entry on the commerce clause i understand now why this country is so corrupt. Congress as taken something as literal as "interstate commerce" and interpreted its constitutional powers to apply to "intrastate non-commerce", which virtually gives the federal government absolute power over everything. I guess this is what happens when a populace grows weak and complacent.

  I figure it costs more to transfer film to Blu-ray than it does for movies already shot in HD. Actually it doesnt cost anything to transfer from HD to Blu-ray because its already digital. Transfer's only apply to film. I have to agree though, even if the old film had been archived correctly (a big if since major picture's negative prints dont always get first class treatment since its a very expensive longterm commitment) I dont see anyone paying the costs to get it transfered to blu-ray, and theres no reason to because it wouldnt look the same.   Doing 1k transfers isnt nearly as expensive as actual for-theater 2k/4k transfers, but can still be cost prohibitive given the small income a retro porn flick would generate mixed with the lack of demand buying a $30 disc would garner. Film isnt a sharp or clear medium by any manner. Yes it holds alot of color information, but it is infact quite blurry, which you can see if you ever look at a single frame of film, but this is part of what gives it its quality. There is a definite difference between watching a native 35mm film and watching native HD on an HD display.   You missed the California in your last post. Freeman ONLY applies to California. I thought the unwritten rule of law was that case law theoretically applies to anywhere, since that in any given trial of an identical nature, one can merely reference case law to prove ones case. I read somewhere that courts will typically respect case law as rule of law, even though it technically isnt. Of course im not a lawyer, whats your experience with this?
