It looks like Rob is jumping on the Remaster/Upscale bandwagon. He's posted an update from 2016 remastered to 4k. I don't recognize the 2 actresses, so maybe he's using it as a test run. Hopefully it is an actual remaster, where Rob has gone back to the raw footage and maybe added some new content, and not just a run through the Topaz software.

Hi Rob, Thanks for your presence on the forum. Speaking of requests, and I hope this is a modest one, for many years I had a lot of FTV models as photos for my screen wallpaper. As my moniker would imply they were mostly FTV classics like Liora, Milena, Amy Ried. Unfortunately as resolutions have increased, these photos have started to show their low resolution age. To expand on Claire_fans point, I think that FTV is missing a real opportunity by not taking advantage of its archive. When you look back and realize that FTV has been operating for some 15 years, you have to be in awe of the amount of work that Rob had put in, and continues to do. Assuming that it hasn't been thrown away, there must to be an immense amount of content sitting there, waiting to be monetized. Rob, please hire somebody to go glean through the archives. Pick a year, pick a theme, pick some memorable models, heck, ask members to suggest their favorites, and release the occasional update of previously unseen footage. Re: the fisheye look Sounds like they have gone to a gopro like camera for some of the scenes. Makes sense for a public shoot, discreet and up to 4K. Tradeoff is that lens is fixed, and tends to distort the edges of the image, hence fisheye.

I know it's still a small dataset, but what are peoples first impressions of the 4K updates? Significant improvement over 1080p? Are the files huge, or are they using a good codec like HEVC?

^ Damn you FTV. Just when you think you're out, it pulls you back in again. I'd pretty well given up on the site. I was a part of that 30,000 Rob boasted about in it heyday, and it was always money well spent. I see from scrolling back through this threads pages, the interest from members like prisma, DrNa, youngrphoto, and others in seeing models in FTVX that haven't been previewed by Rob yet. I don't know if anyone else has noted this, but on the photo of Bethany above Ultra High Definition Video is mentioned. My understanding was that Rob was not going to publish 4K updates. I'm hoping against hope that this might indicate a change of heart. Back when I was first a member, in the standard definition days, I recall at one of the definition jumps, 1440 or 1920, having to run out and get a better video card to play the updates.
