Relying solely on visual preferences could lead to skewed results, as it may not take into account the emotional, romantic or even physiological aspects of a person's sexuality. Furthermore, using pornographic preferences as a benchmark may not adequately reflect a person's broader experiences or feelings. It would be like trying to judge an entire book based on a single chapter.
