- Anyone read that Traci Lords book? 7/27/2003 5:00 AM Traci's autobiography debuts as propsects dim for future mainstream work. Think she might be hinting (or receptive) to doing a movie or two, low key? I know people are still way pissed at her, but as Tom Bryon has said, "Yep. I sure would. ..And anyone who wouldn't is not a good businessperson."
- How comfortable are you? 4/21/2003 7:18 PM Hey Bob, It sounds like you're really trying here, but it's incumbent on her to try, too. If she's withholding sex for long periods or putting so many conditions on it that it becomes not worth doing, I have to wonder whether you're taking more blame than you should.
- How comfortable are you? 4/18/2003 6:30 AM Wow, Bob and Xaxx... Definitely keep communicating. BUT be sure that 1) it's really worth bringing up, and 2) that when you do, you hear the real message, not that which you'd rather hear. Take the anal dilemma, for instance. One partner wants to take the plunge; the other does not. Hopeful Ass-lovin' Partner (HAP) explains how to deal with common concerns, such as anal hygiene, lubrication, etc. The presently Non-Ass Partner (NAP) listens; could be apprehension, receptivity, but definitely ambivalence. Rather than push for an all-or-nothing agreement (since nothing may ensue), HAP might embark on some tentative exploration during lovemaking, perhaps by merely fingering around (not in) the area and gauging reaction. Or perhaps HAP might p...
- Extreme Associates Raided by Federal Officers 4/11/2003 1:54 PM Hardz wrote: Consensual freedom should have no limits. When companies make vanilla porn just to make a few bucks and hope those who impose ambiguous limits stay away from them, have IMO no right to judge those who express themselves more aggressively. True, but the danger in an obscenity prosecution is that Asscroft's henchmen see anything that fits the government's own definition of hardcore--penetration clearly visible--as equally obscene. (Luke ran an interview with a federal prosecutor on this in, I believe, January). This fight is about Extreme, but the mission isn't just about Extreme, or extreme, or just gonzo, either. Remember, these are the same feds who brought up Adam and Eve -- yeah, ADAM AND EVE -- on obscenity charges back...
- The scent of a woman 4/3/2003 8:14 PM A healthy vagina smells slightly musky; healthy semen smells sort of like copper and cream. Both are discernable but usually barely so, certainly not enough to be overpowering. If this is what you're smelling, lavender oil diluted in water could work to counter either of these odors. But if what you're smelling is an overpoweringly unpleasant "fishy" or "toilet" odors, even after proper hygiene, the cause is likely a microbial infection such as trich. Since partners can pass this back and forth, it's important that both be treated. If what you smell seems more "bready," suspect a yeast infection. A douche of 7 drops of tea tree oil to a bottle of solution can be helpful both in countering the problem and the o...
- Are 18 year old females children or adults?? 3/21/2003 1:43 AM Britni, In the scenario you describe, it doesn't matter if a girl is 18 or 21 or 35. It doesn't matter if the director is Max Hardcore. If she's naming names on the Internet in her version, those she names can't easily refute her allegations without doing the same. Especially if it is this clear-cut. While this scenario is not always the case. The problem not just for 18-year-olds but for porn in general is virtually the opposite, but still common scenario: Girl Y, let's call her NotShawna. NotShawna is 18 years old and figures she can make some money in adult since she doesn't mind taking her clothes off. An agent or director notes that she can make a lot more by fucking on camera. Sounds to her like what she's done before, just for a mo...
- Is Fashionistas a couple's movie? 3/20/2003 7:26 AM SueR and Picman are getting close to what I've been trying to determine--whether it just has shock value or has value beyond shock value. I have been thinking about this a lot more since I wrote this <link> . That's what I mean: Is it something that could shock initially but that you could grow to appreciate, you know, possibly enough so that you remembered it fondly maybe eighteen years later? (Ironically, I would have posted it in this forum originally but for this very thread;=( Just goes to show that I shouldn't second-guess, I guess. Heh;-)
- A Tough Question 3/19/2003 7:07 PM YogaGrrl: First off, please accept my sympathies for your loss. In a 2001 article, the American Psychological Association in a 2001 article noted three occupational clusters with statistically significant elevated rates of suicide: 1) white male physicians; 2) black male security staff (including supervisors, crossing guards, police, protective service occupations, but not correctional institution occupations); and 3)white female painters, sculptors, craft-artists and artist printmakers. Porn stars were not mentioned. However, that's not to dismiss the possibility that suicide may be more prevalent among pornstars than the general population. CDC pegs the overall suicide rate at about 1 in 10,000. The IAFD database lists about 25 suicide...
- Expanded STD testing? 3/17/2003 6:08 PM Bisexual Britni voices similar concerns about herpes over at fuckinggossip.com: I have been told my several HUGE porno names that Herpes is not tested for political reasons... if we employed a mandatory test that we would cut out the largest names in porn and that is simple not acceptable. If this is indeed the case, shame on the industry. Sure chlamydia is important, by all means test for it. I would just really like an explanation as to why Herpes is always ignored. I brought two girls to LA to make adult vids who acquired Herpes after their very first scene. Nobody even seems to care to discuss Herpes though its is RAMPANT. What's up with that??? My point exactly. Of course porn stars with herpes shouldn't be kept from working, but getti...
- Does it hurt? 3/17/2003 5:56 PM Sir Noel Plum wrote: Although I like to see all this DPP & DAP stuff, I do worry about the girls who do it. I'm not so much worried about the prospect of injury so much as what their work experience must be like. When you consider a few years ago a lot of female porn stars didn't have to do anal at all what must it be like for some of these girls nowadays. According to director David Aaron Clark, the possibility of injury is real. "Though the self-serving and cynical can rationalize forever 'how much these girls are making' and that 'they LIKED it, in the last couple of months I've heard from no less than four of the actresses I know who do regular anals and dps that they've run into serious problems that needed surgical procedures to...
- Expanded STD testing? 3/17/2003 5:09 PM PornoBoy wrote: This is interesting...if the state of California came in with a "Condoms only" requirement, I wonder how many studios would head out of state? Red Light's whole company is built on "condom free" sex...would they be hitching up the trailers and moving to Vegas? Thing is, California's been a uniquely ideal place to do porn ever since the state Supreme Court handed down Freeman nine years ago. Thing is, that decision applies only within the state of California. Other states could still very well say porn was equivalent to prostitution and pandering, and thus illegal. A condom-only mandate would mean more under the table payment for condom-less Euroversion shots. This would make performers more vulnerable t...
- Expanded STD testing? 3/17/2003 2:51 PM LA county officials are pushing the state to mandate all condoms, all the time. According to P.J. Huffstutter's 3/13 article: "Health officials recommended that the Board of Supervisors seek state regulations that would specifically require adult-film actors to use condoms and be tested for a variety of communicable diseases, including HIV and hepatitis." The best chance the industry has to thwart an all-condom mandate is to screen everyone every month for STDs--not just HIV and hep BUT ALSO herpes and HPV. People tend to blow off the latter as not serious, but it will be a very big deal when someone goes blind after contracting ocular herpes from some cumshot, or when some baby is born blind/dead to someone who insists they go...
- Expanded STD testing? 3/17/2003 3:19 AM Hey Eddie, Sorry for not sourcing you properly. On the bright side, if I'd done it that time I would have done it wrong, having gotten that snippet unsourced from setgo.com. Thought Luke wrote it...thanks for clarifying that.
- Belladonna and ABC show, how did it affect you? 3/14/2003 10:05 PM Pontus Maximus wrote: Regarding the porn industry as a whole making what I still believe are needed changes, the bottom line is this: it is almost completely impossible to change the status quo. But the status quo on any issue has always been dynamic, driven mainly by 1)market/technological forces or 2) governmental mandates. Consider the jist of the original thread: "Such things should never happen, but no one can realistically be done about it." If everyone who had voiced dismay had publicly made pro-performer policies a factor in their buying decisions--there would realistically have been an impact. People could enjoy watching their gapes or gangbangs or gags or whatever without worrying that someone had been hounded into an ...
- Ever had sex with women double or half your age? 3/12/2003 9:30 PM Lindi, In saying that there will be no discussion of adults having sex with children," was this to ban discussion of illegal acts or immoral ones? Shameless was apparently within the legal limits. In Russia, the legal age of consent is 14. ITA, it is also 14 in South Carolina. In only eight U.S. states is the age of consent an unequivocal 18. Morality, of course, is a whole separate question.
- Smothers brothers son in porn 3/12/2003 4:26 PM Does anyone know where I can get this movie? I like Ona Zee.
- An approved question: "girls" versus "women" 3/11/2003 6:28 PM Seeing a female "fuck like a corpse" = turnoff and ripoff. Seeing her fuck like an infinitely creative nympho = turn-on. Why age would ever matter more than the above is beyond me. FWIW, IMO ripoffs abound in both gonzo and features. Maybe there'd be less if more women did gonzo and more girls did features. Who knows?

This is a GREAT point. From a legal standpoint, the consent Bella gave for Gangbang Girl is no different than for Fashionitas. From a moral standpoint, I believe it is. A lot of people did seem to get that the model release doesn't mean that pornographers SHOULD automatically do the wrong thing, like spring a bunch of "surprise requests&...
- Is Fashionistas a couple's movie? 3/11/2003 4:15 PM Tricia wrote: Tricia wrote: To me, when someone actually uses the term couples porn, I usually take it to mean they are looking for something lighter on the roughness, nothing shocking, and heavier on the plot and acting. I can't categorically say that all rough sex is inherently misogynistic. Tricia, Mason and others have convincingly argued that such scenes can be an empowering turn-on from a female performer or director's POV. If you've seen the film, would you say that this impression is what viewers in general come away with as well? Would an audience--couples and women in particular--view Fashionitas any differently than, say, Service Animals, Kocktails, etc.? Why (or why not)?
