- Classics that you consider to be a must watch 11/8/2021 4:02:36 PM John Leslie stars in so many of my favorites. My dream Blu-Ray box set would be "The John Leslie Fully Exposed Collection." It would include "F" ... the whimsical, adult fairy-tale masterpiece "Talk Dirty to Me," and its two follow ups, "Nothing to Hide" and "Talk Dirty to Me Part 2." "Exposed," one of the best adult films that has never appeared on DVD or Blu-Ray and to top it off, "The Dancers" and "Never Sleep Alone." Edited by - escapade on 11/8/2021 4:10:26 PM
- R.I.P. Bo Dean 4/16/2021 8:02:53 AM I remember Bo Dean fondly from a video he did with director/performer Jake Cruise. I am not sure to what extent the video was staged, but the scenario is presented as a real surprise for Jake. It's Jake's 50th birthday, and he's a little upset that he has to work on it, to direct Bo Dean in a scene. Well, his colleagues have arranged a surprise party where Bo Dean is Jake's "present," and he emerges beautifully naked from a box with bows on it. Then, Jake and Bo proceed to suck each other, in front of a small audience of seated people at the party... then Bo fucks Jake. At one point, a colleague gives Jake a bite of birthday cake as he's getting dicked down by Bo. I like to think the scene is real and it is indeed a surprise for Jake. T...

- Movies you saw in theaters 11/30/2020 4:40:29 PM mcs1025 wrote: I wish I could have been around when adult theaters were in their heyday. To pull my dick out and flagrantly masturbate with other people around while watching porn on the big screen--I almost cream my jeans just thinking about it. I hope you guys that got to do this fully appreciate what a great opportunity to be openly sexual without regard to who was around or what environment you were in. The ultimate in masturbation. This is a very interesting notion. I know nothing about the adult theaters first-hand, having missed the era too. I WISH I could have seen the great vintage films on the big screen. For the people who went there, was masturbation happening in the open without much care? From what I've read, I thought, in ...
- Melusine / Peekarama (Vinegar Syndrome) on Bluray 11/27/2020 1:24:11 PM
2020 brought us 10 hardcore releases. All but 2 were Blu-ray and four of them were double features.
Hello Flash! I was reacting mostly to the announcement from Vinegar Syndrome that "Just like VS, Peekarama will be Blu-ray only from here on out. " That's a step in the right direction, in my opinion. I'd felt a little backwards buying DVDs when every other home video purchase I was making from the mainstream companies and boutique labels was either a 4K disc or a Blu-Ray... So, my enthusiasm is for the announcement that Vinegar Syndrome is abandoning DVD as it moves forward. Your point, Flash, about how the number of hardcore releases is dwindling is well taken. I had not realized how many titles VS had put out during ...
- Melusine / Peekarama (Vinegar Syndrome) on Bluray 11/27/2020 12:56:46 PM Flash wrote: Going forward in 2021, all hardcore releases will now be through their new Peekarama sublabel. The Peekarama releases will be switching from DVD to Blu-ray and they are saying that there will be 7 releases in 2021, many of which will be double features. Ok, here's another example of how 2021 is going to be a much BETTER YEAR than 2020. More hardcore vintage double features from Vinegar Syndrome: FANTASTIC! The fact that Vinegar Syndrome seems to favor Blu-Ray now over DVD is the BEST part of this news. Through audio commentaries and beautifully restored prints, the very respectful approach of Vinegar Syndrome to vintage adult films has always seemed to be: Take a look at these films (or give them another look) because there...
- Two guys and a girl ... any classic scenes? 11/26/2020 12:07:57 PM I just saw a scene, shot on video, of Joey Silvera and Steve Powers. They were both inside Kari Foxx in an unmistakable DVP. An online search shows me all three of these performers appear in "For Your Thighs Only" (1984), directed by Jerome Tanner. The way the scene was shot, however, makes me think its more recent than 1984. The guys never take their sunglasses off during the scene. Does anyone have an idea which video has these three performers engaged in DVP? Edited by - escapade on 11/26/2020 12:09:31 PM
- Recommend Some Titles to a Newbie 11/24/2020 7:36:04 PM BlackSix wrote: I'd also recommend the porn comedies of Chuck Vincent like Misbehavin' and Jack and Jill, Ron Sullivan's comedies and Anthony Spinelli's Talk Dirty to Me. Spinelli's melodramas like Sex World and Easy are also top drawer. Alex de Renzy's comedies like Babyface and Pretty Peaches although the humour can be quite dark. Many of the films you mentioned are available on Blu-Ray, and look amazing in that format. I'd love to see "Jack and Jill" get a Blu-Ray release. It's one of the titles that got me interested in vintage adult cinema. Jack Wrangler is incredibly charismatic in his role. It features many great performances, and arousing sex scenes. I'd love a Blu-Ray box set with "Talk Dirty to Me" (1980), "Talk Dirty to Me I...
- Any love for Love You! (1979) ? 10/6/2020 8:30:02 AM BlackSix and Flash: I only started collecting vintage adult films in March of this year. The Gourmet DVD was (and remains) the only version I can find anywhere. It sounds like it may be inferior to the Excalibur release. Any idea on why so many classic adult films were sourced from a 3/4" master? Do you know whether this ever happened with DVDs of mainstream movies? Edited by - escapade on 10/6/2020 8:34:42 AM

- Any love for Love You! (1979) ? 10/4/2020 2:25:44 PM BlackSix and Flash, my DVD of Love You! is from Gourmet Video. https://www.adultdvdtalk.com/movie/love-you-annette-haven I'm not able to find any other version online. Do you have a link to the version you have, either of you? I wouldn't say the Gourmet DVD is in bad shape, but John Derek shot the film with many dark scenes, bodies illuminated by firelight, and many shots of silhouettes against a glistening sea. A higher quality disc showcasing the subtle color effects could make the film look outstanding, and it could serve one of the prime examples of how beautiful vintage adult motion pictures can be. Correct me if I am wrong, but a DVD sourced from 3/4" tape is going to look a little washed out and dull, as opposed to the crisp, vi...
- The Mystery of BOLERO (1984) 10/2/2020 3:35:35 AM BlackSix wrote: I saw Bolero on late night cable as a kid/teen and remember mainly being bored but would be interested in revisiting it. I think the R rating for the home video releases could have been negotiated with the MPAA an notoriously political and inconsistent organization. Also compared to modern hardcore Bolero's softcore sex and the passage of time may have rendered it quaint. Edited by - BlackSix on 10/1/2020 2:23:01 AM If you do revisit Bolero, watch with an open mind. Anyone back in the '80s watching the movie for the sex scenes would likely get very bored. The Dereks were telling a sweet story. It's plot has been compared to that of a romance novel. Audiences didn't want to see that, and the publicity had led people to ...
- The Mystery of BOLERO (1984) 10/2/2020 1:59:06 AM aclayfan and BlackSix - I recently saw "Love You!" (1979), just because it was directed by John Derek. I wrote down my thoughts immediately after seeing it. I guess now would be a good time to share them. I have just created a new post in this forum if anyone would like to read my opinion about this beautiful film. Edited by - escapade on 10/2/2020 2:19:29 AM
- The Mystery of BOLERO (1984) 10/2/2020 1:50:51 AM T0MBOne wrote: In 1990, the MPAA created the NC-17 rating because of issues with Henry and June. I actually saw Henry & June (1990) in the theater, because I wanted to see the first film to be released with the 'NC-17' rating. Movies such as Bolero (1984) and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 (1986) paved the way for the 'NC-17' rating, because the movie companies did not want the 'X' these films had been given, and the film makers did not want to compromise their vision just to get an 'R.' Even though Roger Ebert advocated for the new rating to be called 'A' for adult, 'NC-17' was instead what the MPAA decided on to give to movies that went beyond what we would see in an 'R' rated film. 'NC-17' did not really solve the "problem" that m...
