  Ruby Red & Gay Satyr, Thanks for the responses. All of these are movies which sound very good, well above average, yet they are not out on DVD. I've gotten rid of all my VHS tapes and will soon probably ditch my Video player itself. So, it would be nice to see them out on DVD. I did check out Wash West's other personae. He's been a busy little boy. His other names are pretty funny, too: Bud Light and Bobby Dazzler. It did seem that the movies he has made under other names might not be quite as sharp and interesting as his previous ones under his Wash West identity. One can only hope that the top quality older movies by Wash West and Jerry Douglas will one day make it to DVD. EV

  Gay Satyr, No, I never went to Atlantis. Some of my friends used to go up to Baltimore--or Bawlmor' as the native inhabitants called it--to go dancing at a club there. It might have been called the Hippo, but that might be a totally different bar altogether.   Aztec Gold, I don't think that it was that difficult for the actors to display affection for each other. They're actors and used to getting into characters. Also, actors tend to be a pretty free-spirited bunch. They had to realize, too, that they were in a terrific film, so that probably inspired them to give it their all. As for your seeing it, you really should go see it on the big screen. There are great scenes of the landscape of the mountains out West which look best in a movie theatre. Also, as I think I posted before, it's a good movie to support. I am pleased that it scored all the Oscar nominations, and I certainly hope that it wins as many Oscars as possible.   Ice Trance, Of course, looks are in large part a matter of taste. However, there are a few very good looking porn stars out there. The Czech star who goes by the names of Pavel Novotny and Jan Dvorak is a beautiful man. And despite being somewhat cold at times, Eric Hansen is another gay porn star who is quite the looker.   Gay Satyr, Chesapeake House--that was the club which my ex used talk about going to, and which I could not remember. I'm afraid that it was before my time. My ex used to get a big kick out of going into La Cage all dressed up professionally, and, then, tellig me, "I bet none of these little boys would ever guess that I used to dance here, too." We used to have a lot of fun there, as well as at Ziegfield's and Tracks. We had the best group of friends whom we used to run with and with whom we explored all of these places. Sadly, including my ex, they are all gone now. Still, it was fun while it lasted, and I've enjoyed recalling those wonderful days. Thanks. EV P. S. You're right. It's the end of an era!

  Gay Satyr, You couldn't have realized it, but you brought back some memories for me. A former partner of mine danced as a young man, before I knew him, at La Cage Aux Folles in DC. He knew a lot of the crowd whom you talked about. It was very sad for him that so many people from his youth had passed away. When he himself became ill, he returned home to his parents for the end. This experience and, also, caring for a friend with AIDS, has helped me realize personally how important it is for me to remain HIV-negative. Life is too precious, and I want to enjoy all of it in the future. Still, I did enjoy for a moment recalling some of the fun of the old days with my partner in DC. Thanks. EV

  Hi All, "Brokeback Mountain" is one of the best movies which I have seen in a very long time. The sex is not very graphic, for it is not a movie primarily about sex, but love and romance, and the tragic forces which keep two people apart. It's a very beautiful ... and tragic movie. I have recommended it to numerous people, and everyone who has seen it has loved it. If you haven't seen it yet, Go See It! It's well-written, beautifully acted and directed--simply a must-see! EV P. S. We, also, need as a community to get out there and support movies like this with our wallets. Those who make good movies with positive messages about gay people need to be rewarded.

  Mike, If you haven't already sold them already, you might want to try listing the Bel Ami and Kristen Bjorn DVD's on E-Bay. I sold a Bel Ami DVD and a Kristen Bjorn DVD on E-Bay a while back and received good prices for both of them. I'm not sure how your other DVD's would sell on E-Bay, but Kristen Bjorn and Bel Ami seem to do well. In order that you don't get ripped off, you can specify that you will accept money orders and cashier's cheques for immediate shipment and that you will hold personal cheques for ten days to make sure that they will clear and not bounce.
