No thanks. I'd rather have dinner. And BTW, when did it become okay to call contributors here suitcase pimps?

"hey, why not lie about some more employee-safety-data. get it right, it's 2-0. me. not you, you had to admit you're wrong and now you won't admit it because it HURTS." You're real proud about that employee safety data, aren't you? Guess you've probably heard the one about blind squirrels. You clearly didn't read Coming Attractions very carefully, as it not a tell-all novel, or a novel of any kind. It's a collection of interviews to which I contributed and helped edit. I invite anyone who thinks it's "vicious, ANTI-PORNOGRAPHIC BACKLASH" to actually read it for themselves. And as I said, what you know about me, my life and my work amounts to zip. I know how much you like hurting people, but you're wasting your time...

Call me a suitcase pimp and mental case all day long if it makes you feel more manly in some way. Like I said, your opinion comes in just about dead last among my concerns.

Hey James-the-White-Boy-Who-Thinks-it's-Cool-to-Use-the N-Word: Give it a rest. You have no clue how our household income is derived and I'm not interested in your opinion of Larry Flynt, or anything else for that matter. Why don't you go back to selling worthless junk bonds to pensioners or something else that falls within your area of expertise?

Wrong. I get you point completely. I understand the differnce between radical and "radical." I consider sex radicals far more radical than self-identified radical feminists, whose views are essentially retread Victorian conservatism. However, confusing the two is like confusing the Socialist Workers Party with the National Socialist White Peoples' Party. The word "socialist" appears in both names, but they are at opposite ends of the political spectrum. I may not consider this worth "arguing" over either, but after having to deal with radical feminists at close quarters on many occasions, I think it's important for those who support the idea of freedom of sexual expression to recognize that they face a danger...

As sex positive feminists or sex radicals but definitely not as radical feminists. To say that one is both radical and feminist is not necessarily to identify oneself with the very narow and particular stripe of opinion that has claimed title to radical feminism for itself. This is not a hot-house distinction. Self-described radical feminists despise Tristan, Annie Sprinkle, Carol Queen and Nina Hartley as traitors to the cause and servants of the patriarchy. A little research should clear up this confusion in a big hurry. Ernest

I think there's some semantic confusion here over the differences among radical feminists, sex-positive feminists and sex radicals. The latter two groups are generally porn friendly. The former, as Sheldon says, regard pornography and all other forms of sex work as exploitation of women by patriarchal capitalism and favor its total abolition. I wouldn't underestimate the seriousness of radical feminist opposition to pornography and most other forms of sexual behavior that we might be inclined to regard as normal and harmless, as the radical feminist position on penetrative heterosexual intercourse overall is that it is violative under all but the most rarified circumstances and that any kind of sex men like is pretty much autmatically to b...

Clearly, Both Jenna's April, 2006 Esquire profile and reference.com state that she did attend the debate. Wikipedia, as I'm sure you know, has been having some credibility problems of late. Perhaps Jenna would care to clarify this herself.

  • Minimum age 21 to do porn? 4/26/2006 1:17:16 PM
Actually, the legal age of consent is lower in most EC countries, ranging from fourteen to sixteen, with the latter being the norm. I consider this a realistic recognition of the fact that most sixteen year olds are sexually, if not emotionally, mature and that it is futile to try and prevent them from engaging in sexual activities with peers. However, EC courts do still recognize that, under certain circumstances, age difference between partners can lead to exploitation and have specific laws governing such situations. Obviously, even if the age of consent in general were lowered in this country - something I consider highly unlikely anytime soon - sixteen would still be way too young for porn. However, at eighteen, we consider young ...

You might want to try the Resources section on this site. I've found it pretty useful when it comes to locating what I'm looking for.

Though I haven't been around here much lately, I have to take this opportunity to praise Shayla as one of my favorite performers of all time. As a director, I've employed her on many occasions and I don't believe there is another star in the business who gives such focused intensity to her work. Shayla is not only beautiful to look at, with a compact strength that belies her small stature, her movement on camera is consistently lovely to watch. She has the kind of star quality I associate with mainstream headliners. And viewers here are absolutely right to note the way in which she doesn't just "act" the sex, she really goes there every chance she gets. She's probably had more real on-camera orgasms than anyone else I've shot. S...

  • "Couple's Market": An Idea needing an Update? 3/3/2006 1:52 AM
Strong +1 on this. Quality all-sex videos using attractive players and shot with feature production values seems like a can't-miss proposition to me. While I don't think the market I would identify as sexually adventurous couples particularly craves the kind of circus sex that predominates in much of the gonzo genre, sales figures suggest that comparatively hard material, such as the sex scenes in Fashionistas, plays well with couples if done in a slick, visually attractive format. I've made a couple of up-market all-sex shows myself for the Nina Hartley's Anal Kinksters series and they continue to do good numbers long after their release dates. The problem isn't selling these shows, it's getting them made. Producers that put up big eno...
  • High production values plus hard, nasty sex... 7/30/2005 8:32 PM
Actually, I do. Almost any of the bigger shows from Private, or its fetish-flavored Pirate line, can be counted on for hot babes, good, hard action with tons of anal and lots of mulitples, and consistenly slick visuals. I only wish some of the companies over here would get a clue.
  • Nina Hartley Takes it in her sweet ASS 5/17/2005 1:47 PM
DVDwishes, Karnac the Magnificent you are not. Your psychic phone-tap of conversations between Nina and Jules took place entirely under your own turban, In fact, all that were exchanged were friendly emails and phone messages. No specifics of any kind have been discussed as yet. Nina isn't the type of performer to issue a list of conditions to a director at the beginning of negotiations. She lets the director propose what he wants to do and then makes suggestions. So far, no details have been proposed. This whole thing is still sitting at Square One, awaiting a move from the producer.

I really wanted to stay away from here, but since this discussion just keeps going on and on, I feel I have to clarify at least one point. Nina has been and remains interested in working with Jules. There have been a couple of very general phone messages and emails exchanged, but Jules has not made a point of pursuing negotiations further. Nina remains open to the prospect. No pre-conditions have been established for what she will or will not do. That would very much depend on what was requested and who she would be working with. Nina has been doing strong anal scenes in all her work for Adam&Eve over the past four years, starting with Sean Michaels in Guide to Sensual Submission 2. Contrary to what some have said here, Nina is an enthu...
  • Porn Stars Do Not Like Their Fans! 3/17/2005 10:57 PM
The quotation that started this thread was taken completely out of context and presented in a manner that misrepresents Nina completely. Here's what I wrote to Luke Ford about it: This comment seems to imply that Nina is among the porn stars who dislike their fans and regard them as a "necessary evil." As a regular visitor to Nina's site, you can't possibly believe those are her opinions. Contact with the public is one of the real pleasures of Nina's career. She's correctly regarded as one of the most fan-friendly performers in the industry. Over the years, she has developed many lasting friendships with viewers of her work and never passes up an opportunity to give full credit for her success to their love and loyalty. Frankly, ...
