  I don't think she is very popular, hell she can either be new or already retired for all I know, but I saw her today on a tube site in a compilation and of course she is not listed, anyone know who she is from this picture? <image> edited pic - check the image policy before posting again!   A whole slew of questions here, I will not even TOUCH the legal (model releases, 2257,etc etc etc) stuff and just say this, even using talent from Craigslist you will be hard pressed to find decent to -semi good talent for a full on B/G scene for under $800 for the girl and thats pushing it it if you want it to be hardcore and just a few basic boring positions. The guys are about right at $100 maybe less and I doubt a DVD distributor would carry product on DVD-R so you will have to do it on your own which limits your sales potential. If you wanna go anal its gunna go to base line $1200 a girl esp if you go with agency talent (again not sure where you are located) I think 3k is a very low estimate IMO.

  Thanks Flash, I will look for info on those companies, Hollywood Woody... if you are around I would love to discuss this and other projects with you. I had been a lurker on this site for a looong time, I am very happy that I posted here for this because I have received so much amazing feedback from the members here that will greatly help what is by far the most important and largest scale project for my studio to date. Keep it coming lol EDIT - I can't seem to locate a working e-mail address for Pure Play Media the one they have listed on their website says Message Undeliverable... does anyone have alt contact info.   Thanks for the reply John, It is awesome to hear from another director. As it stands right now my script is 105 pgs with a basic STORY run time of about 90 mins or so and an additional 90 mins of sex scenes split into 7 scenes total. You bring up a good point about the depth of field and one that I will discuss with my DP. Due to the prohibitive cost of not only the film stock but editing the film as well (at least if I have an east coast company handle that) we have to shoot on DV. We are an independent studio but for this project we are looking for backing or distribution, any suggestions or tips?

  Yeah we had toy'd around with the idea of an R-Rated cut to open up the marketability like Pirates did, but it seems like some say that the scenes in the actual XXX rated cuts run long sometimes, which I found interesting. I plan on shooting the scenes long for the website and special features but it has made me go back and look at the suggested run length for the actual film as far as the scenes intended for that XXX cut of the film. PArty mode is prob one of the best idea's I have heard of in a while.

  This is all excellent feedback, I didn't want to start right off by saying that I was a producer for fear that you gusy would think I was spamming the board or something lame like that lol. But yes I am working on a feature film that I am going into looking at as the crowning achievement of my studio to date. We are fairly new (2 years in the biz) and not in LA so I am hoping that this will be the thing that gets us that much needed look at by the big boys if you will. My biggest pet peeves are when the story is an after thought as well. The Sex and STORY are just as important, it is interesting that you guys feel that some scenes are too long, I was starting to think that if it wasn't at least 20 mins a scene it wasn't going to fly.   No dialogue and exteriors should be ok, esp if its just a shot of the building and 1 guy with a camera. I think laws regarding film permits changed, like now you are violating copyright if you even say times square without express permission from the NYC film board, let alone shoot there

  I think it is both a budget and a legal issue. I don't know about LA (my studio only shot there once) but in Florida we have to be very covert about what we are doing to keep from getting asked 2 many questions lol so Outdoor shots are always iffy unless it is just dialogue or something like that. I agree with you on the sound aspect, I have seen some (mostly in gonzo) where the echos are present as well as background noise... not cool. As far as Digital VIdeo goes, I can also see what you are saying but with everything being HD now and of course the cost differences between working with DV and Film I think that you get a better product from HD-DV IF you have a light crew who knows what is up.   I agree, people particularly fans feel that if you get to see someone naked let alone fucking that you somehow own her.   Thanks for the responses.. I agree with you guys that a lot of the blogs end up being ghost towns. I was doing research and found a few that haven't been updated in at least 6 months or the other side is constant updates with site updates. My plan is to kind of mix all of that up. I have sections devoted to site updates that keep it from being so blatant but still there if you wanna know, my models are scheduled to update at least twice a week either with text or video blogs and I am looking for guest writers. LadyB thanks for idea on the Safe for work thing, I was planning on an R-Rated blog but to go totally safe for work may not be such a bad idea. We also use twitter a lot as well as facebook.

  As a producer in Florida I must say that while I always debate coming to Cali to set my roots it's things like this bs with Cal/OSHA that make me want to stay here in Florida. Condom Only performances historically sell less whether it be online or DVD purchases. In order for this condom optional thing to even be feasible from a business point of view the female performers need to make a concession on price of the scene at that point. Going in I know that no matter how hot the scene is or what kinds of bells and whistles I throw in to sweeten the pot that it will sell less JUST because of the condom use.
