  I KNEW there were viewers who felt the same as I do -- that 16:9 porn is not merely an affectation, but an aesthetic choice. Check out my ASIA NOIR series from Video Team, as well as the titles ZEN & THE ART OF FELLATIO and NO MAN'S LAND: ASIAN EDITION 4 for deliberate use of letterbox to provoke more interesting compositions .... I might add that I stick to the standard TV screen dimensions for my BANANA CREAM PIE series, which is more traditional gonzo .... David Aaron Clark

  I agree thoroughly with Whiplash as to why there's such a dearth of kissing in today's porn -- most of the people shooting it are so numb and jaded and removed from any notion of sexuality as romance, communication or exploration that they would say, "Huh? What?" to this question. Since we all love to promote our work, I will note that all three of my Asian Video Team titles include extensive smooching -- the latest, ASIA NOIR, opens with an extended romantic kissing sequence between Mr. Marcus and Nyomi Marcella that leads into hot, strenuous, intense sex that I would put up against any raincoater director's hardcore.   Nice to see an expert like Jay Wiseman raise a voice of reason on this choking issue. As someone who was a longtime member of the S/M community -- and an acknowleged "edge player" -- long before I became a hardcore porn director, I have been appalled to see the rise of this very dangerous practice in the hands of jaded, exploitative idiots. Just because a girl goes along with something because she's young, stupid on drugs, and quite likely has something of a self-esteem problem to begin with doesn't mean it's truly morally "consensual." THEY don't know the risks. And I daresay with the exception of one or two sick fucks in this biz, the people perpertrating this act don't, either. The post comparing this to dangerous ex...
