  Woodman's North American distribution was victim of the IMNINN/Ninn Worx_SR break-up. His new distributor (Pacific Coast) evidently hasn't got started on him yet. I was going to answer your question on EBI but you seem "disappeared" from there. Number 4 is the best, such that I can't see how he can top it (except by throwing Divinity to the pack).

  In Woodman's Castings you'll see the girls coming off the street looking very much like their American teen counterparts (chewing gum and all), but European directors then make them look presentable for us. American directors don't bother with that, preferring unbeautified reality perhaps, or (frankly) the very vulgarity and sluttishness that European "sophisticates" try to disguise. So I'd say the difference is not in the girls but in the attitude toward sex on either side of the great divide.

  Hi, Wally: good to see you back, drunken or not. Have you really been under a rock all this time? I'd love to bring you up to speed on a couple of things. You missed Pierre Woodman's return to Private, short-lived as it was. Put out a trilogy called "Sex City" with a bunch of cute girls, including Aphrodite Night and Sonia Red and Xenia Lova and a perfect beauty named Divinity Love he has under contract now with his own company called Woodman Entertainment.   He started his own company called Woodman Entertainment, and a big budget trilogy titled "Xcalibur" was the first thing he did. What I'm glad of, since his feature movies are what I like best. The first part is supposed to come out next month. But I'm sure he intends to continue the Anal Intensive, Superfuckers, and XXX series, as well as Exxxotica.

  Interesting to read of the elements put together for this movie (and who has--or ever again will have--such resources to draw from?--The Las Vegas stage show alone would have exhausted any other porn director's budget. And only Stagliano could have persuaded Rocco to come back for one last movie). Appetite is whetted for more Katsumi and Melissa Lauren, of course, as well as the confrontation between Rocco and Nacho, but I hope poor little Belladonna won't be forsaken and forgotten. The logic of the story seems to demand return to her, but who knows? If that relationship goes unresolved, I will have to insist on a Fashionistas 4. And if Rocco is unavailable, having got lost in the fetish dungeons of Berlin, then perhaps our subtile darling ...

  I've been irretrievably spoiled by European beauties, but I must say this Sasha Grey is kinda cute (and certainly very game). It was good to have her initiation the focus of the orgy, since I could identify in my open-minded but quite inexperienced curiosity. I certainly hope no one regards my comments as criticism of the movie. Just thoughts that happened to occur to me personally. Stagliano's intents and the movie's meaning are very much mysteries that I am merely exploring, or as it were hearing as news from some distant region.   Bummer not to be able to watch Fashionistas 3 for a long time: I was really ready for it at the end of 2. The non-consummation of the concluding Rocco/Belladonna scene expresses the incompleteness of this aesthetic experience. Obviously these two parts are meant to be viewed as halves of a whole (critics beware!). "The Orgy" made me think what orgies were about, and indeed what "gonzo" is about (regarded as reality sex vs the play-acting of features): the total breakdown of sexual inhibitions, familiar to us in dreams where our super-ego censor is banished.   I rarely watch American movies anymore. "Pirates" for instance: I look at the boxcover and see plastic-titted girls and read of a bunch of lesbo scenes. Oh yeah, I remember that. No way I'd even give it a try. But John Stagliano is a director I trust. I'm glad to see so many people interested in this movie, but surprised at the negativity in initial reactions. As if it were supposed that Stagliano had lost it or didn't know what he was doing. As one character says of another: "You had to know he was like that"--re: Stagliano's Marcello.   The most interesting recent production of Private's is "Sex City" by Pierre Woodman--what will probably win Best Foreign Feature at the next AVN awards. Judging from sales charts and stuff, I'd say this one is the most popular Private movie here in America since "Private Gladiator" came out--I don't know--5 or 6 years ago. I myself buy Private pretty exclusively, but my taste is for beauty in women almost as an end in itself. Plus anal, I guess, and the imaginative dimension features give to the sex. For which combination Private is best.

  Scipio's is the best advice, and I totally agree with Ramsey and Joey Starr, but you did say the most expensive. That would be the Private Gold line in which their high-budget movies are released. Uneven since Woodman left the helm (and you can't go wrong with vintage Woodman), but it is that series provides the very best Private has to offer (at least in their own opinion). After Woodman classics I would recommend the "Private Gladiator" trilogy. Though if you just want to know what Private is about "Private Tropical" by the midling director Alessandro del Mar (and the earlier in the series the better) will perfectly acquaint you with the quintessential Private formula.

  Yes, they should at least make a "Private Story of" for these favorites, if there are not enough scenes for a Life, while their names still have magic (for some of us). Angel Dark and Liliane Tiger too of course. (McKenzie Lee is probably more a British taste.)

  My, these get buried fast. I could hardly find it. Just a postscript for the record: "International Pussy Patrol" & "Interracial Pussy Patrol" are comps with the 20 year old Mona Lisa. So, "Big Black Poles in Little White Holes 12", "Spanish Fly Pussy Search 17" & "Hot Latin Pussy Adventures 41" are the only ones so far with the 23 year old Mona Lisa. Though the last two movies are worthless except for her scenes (both shot August 2005 probably because she likes Mark Anthony--and needed some quick cash.)   Yes. All her Private scenes are there, except her upcoming one in "Sextra Time" (Private XXX 32). Not the mag shoots though (I miss that). Love this series. The Claudia Rossi one really opened my eyes: after watching it I felt that she was the successor of Angel Dark.

  I do recommend the movie--5 choice Brazilian beauties very well shot. Gapes are definitely part of the program in every scene, though how they'd rate on your JYL meter I couldn't say.   Just saw "Big Black Poles in Little White Holes 12" and Mona Lisa's scene is indeed new. 23 years old here (she was 20 when I last saw her), broke up with her boyfriend just a week before, no job.
