  Hi there, I've just watched the rough cut, and I'm here to say I completely concur with everything Devinn just posted above. It's really is the biggest and best thing she's ever done, and one of Brad Armstrong's finest directorial jobs ever. If you love the whole "Urban Legends/I Know What You Did Last Summer" slasher film genre, this movie is gonna rock your world. If you love excellent sex scenes, believe me, the Devinn/Randy Spears scene is going to take you straight to heaven. It's truly Stormy's finest script to date as well. It's a brilliant film and I'm happy to also report that's we're on track to make that end-of-the-month DVD release date for all of you. Thank you, Daniel Metcalf Wicked Pictures

  Hi there, David Stanley just finished directing his first feature for us this week. Titled Polarity, it's a dark - and I mean dark - erotic thriller with a cast that features Nicole Sheridan, Kimberly Kane, and Alexis Malone. He was a joy to work with, and brought a tremendous amount of energy and professionalism to the table.   Hi Tdigle, I agree that adult films with storylines about the "real" issues of "real" people often connect with audiences on a very special, very personal level. As a fan of Paul Thomas, I'm not sure his work strikes me as an homage to Henri Pachard. "Bobby Sox," for example, was very uniquely PT. It's important to remember that as one of the best actors of the Golden Age, PT worked with alot of the influential, story-driven feature directors of the time, including Henri Pachard but also the Mitchell Bros, Edwin Durell, Robert McCallum, and F.J. I certainly understand your concern with the street date, and, as a fan myself, I feel a similar impatience over the wait for Revenge Of The Sith (as well as War Of The Worlds, Fantastic Four, Batman Begins, Hitchiker's Guide To The Galaxy, and The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe). l The May 25th street date allows for the kind of extras-laden DVD you'd like to see from us. This is Devinn's biggest feature to date, and its getting maximum love throughout every aspect of the post-production process. I'm hoping you'll all be pleased with the end result!   I noticed someone mentioned Maria Ford a few posts back. Her entire body of work (especially her work for Roger Corman's Concorde/New Horizons) is consitently interesting. Her better titles for Corman have been issued on DVD under a "Maria Ford Collection" imprint.

  Hi Vodka, I'm familiar with that mainstream title as well, and I agree with your assessment of its quality. In her defense, Anna Faris (the actress from Scary Movie) has pointed out that she made that movie very early on, up in Washington State, before she'd made the decision to pursue acting as a profession. While the plotlines are vastly different, our Lover's Lane pays homage to the slasher genre, and I hope you enjoy Brad Armstrong's take on it.

  British directors Pete Walker and Michael Winner (yeah, the guy who did "Death Wish" with Charles Bronson in the early Seventies) made some classic softcore pictures in 1960's. A favorite of mine would be Walker's "Cool It Carol," if only for its perfect depiction of London in the Swingin' Sixties and lines like "She moves like a Swiss watch!" On the other hand, Winner's "I'll Never Forget What's 'is Name" remains a potent testament of the disillusionment of the late Sixties. Sad, poignant, and very, very sexy. I try to chart the mainstreaming of adult film by contrasting/comparing it to the mainstreaming of adult literature. In the 60's, a thriving pornographic paperback industry had a fairly large selection in pretty much every major urban bookstore, -- much larger, I suspect, than you'll find today. When extreme adult content began appearing in "mainstream," mass-market, brand-author paperbacks, there was more comment over the use of street language than the description of specific sex acts.   Hi RubyRed, Brad Armstrong's Lover's Lane is a big-budget hi-def production we shot last fall, and it stands as Devinn's biggest feature to date. It's an homage to the slasher film genre, although the script takes the genre into some interesting areas not seen in the mainstream. In terms of the sex, Devinn has gone on record as stating that her scene with Randy Spears ranks as one of her best b/g scenes to date.   Hello! Thanks to everyone who's given imput on this thread. A sequel to Angel X is not formally on the boards yet, but should it be added in the future, I'll certainly let everyone here know! It's hard to go wrong when putting together a Kaylani DVD collection, but I'd suggest Eye Of The Beholder, Blue Rain, and Sweatshop.
