  One question you want to ask yourself is, do you really want to see the pimples, pock marks and flaws on some chick's rear up close and in full detail on HD? HD-DVD is just a lot higher resolution than standard DVD with added functionality and angles.   Hey TheMan85, sorry to hear about your experience. Could you post your WantedList username here so that I can investigate the history on your account? This would help us figure out if there are indeed issues with our level of service that need to be remedied, vs. issues beyond our control. There are always outside factors, but we are constantly improving those that we can. For example, one huge improvement was the addition of a second distribution center. Regarding the business model, we've been around since 2001 and going strong. Obviously nowhere near the size of Netflix but a strong organization nonetheless.   Hey there, Thanks for posting your username. I talked to CS and had a look at your account. Basically everything appears to be in order, you rented 12 DVDs on the 2 at a time plan over the course of two months. The last disc was never received so we had to charge for it. However it appears that a few emails went back and forth and one of our reps asked that you submit what's called a 1510 report to the post office so we can issue your refund. She didn't get a reply, so perhaps the email was lost in spam. Anyway I've asked her to resend that email to you. I'd recommend filing that report - I've seen them, it takes 5 minutes to fill out, and we'll be happy to refund the cost of the movie once we receive the report from the post office. As...

  Wish I saw this sooner, we just wrapped up a Direct a Porno contest with Madness Pictures. You don't get to have sex with them, but you do get to tell them what to do, with whom and how. I imagine that your most likely source for getting what you seek would be a contest or similar publicity campaign somewhere. To answer your question, we have excellent turnaround time, due to the shipping centers we have on both coasts (CA and NJ), and the large number of duplicates we have in stock for most titles. We do not throttle or use any similar techniques - we find that customers who rent a large volume of movies tend to advertise our site by word of mouth and we end up recruiting more customers.   I don't know much about the above company, but VOD is certainly a great option if you have broadband. If you don't have broadband however, then DVD rental by mail with a company like WantedList.com would be a better option. Renting DVDs online can also supplement a VOD membership - the idea being that you'll get full length movies with much better picture quality than you might with most VOD sources. So, you could download movies from some of the companies listed here for everyday viewing, and have high quality DVDs shipped to you as well for those special titles that have to be seen at full resolution.
