  First of all, i don't think the question was intended to be sexist. Women tend to recieve more focus than men (though whether or not working in porn is degrading to men is just as valid a question) I knew a women who liked to make drawings of nude models who told me that works with nude women were accepted while work with nude males generally were not. She herself found works with nude men unapealling. A similar line of thought seems to run through the societal view towards pornography. As it was pointed out by previous posters, in general, its more the societal view of pornography than pornography itself that is the source of the degradation.
