  I'm surprised no one has bothered to mention setting up two user accounts. one for the wife and one for yourself. that way all your porn is on your account and not readily available to anyone else, make sure you set a password that only you would know. System Preferences -> Accounts from there you can setup multiple accounts. very easy solution to your problem. much easier that doing the encrypted disk image. at least this is what I would do.
