  Hey, Just wanted to relay what turned out to be a great experience I had ordering with FiveStarDVD. Initially ordered 4 items (shipping was SUPER fast as I expected, and the prices were very competitive, plus got free shipping since I ordered 4 dvds). HOWEVER, one of the items I ordered was incorrect.. I was thinking, damnit, now I gotta send it back, get a RMA number, and worry about getting charged for extra shipping for the replacement item, even though it wasn't my mistake Guess what?? The guy Ethan at FiveStaDVD apologized for the mistake, sent out the correct DVD right away, AND LET me keep the incorrect DVD that was shipped, FREE of charge since it was their mistake. Man, turned out to be an even better deal than I thought =)) A...

  Thanks for explaining that to me... Yes, I was never doubting the superiority of the DVD picture over VHS as far as picture quality, artifacting, and the fact that VHS quality severely degrades over time. Was just trying to make the following point... You know that with some VHS videos you rent at the store, it says specifically on the box that this movie was "shot on film." Those video tapes look distinctly "different" than regular adult VHS tapes shot on video (not that the quality is any worse per say) This is analogous to the difference between watching a live show on television, versus seeing a movie in a theater (which looks "different" since it's shot on film) With the very few DVDs I've rented, jus...

  Hi! Thanks for replying!! Unfortunately, can't remember the title (seen too many on VHS, heh =) I don't know if it's true in most cases, or not, but with the very few DVDs I've seen, they look they they were shot on film as opposed to looking like they were taken on a video camera. Just wondering if this is true in general with most DVDs out there in the market (that they have that film-quality look to them). If that's the case, guess that's one reason for me to stick to VHS for a while since most all adult video tapes don't look like they were shot on film (except for New Sensations releases and several others) Thanks if anybody knows...   Hi, Just graduating into DVDs from VHS tapes HEH =) I rented a dvd from a store a little while ago (I had seen it on VHS previously). On the VHS tape, the picture generally looks like it was shot on a video camera (which I personally like since for me, it's more "life-like") On the DVD version, however, the same title I had seen on VHS video now looked like it was shot on FILM instead(like watching a mainstream movie in a theater). Is this true in general for many dvds when they are converted from VHS format and digitally re-mastered(that they now have that film-quality look whereas before they look like they were taken on a video camera)?? And is there any way to know before purchasing whether the DVD version will look di...
