  The experiment I wanted to try with this scene - being the first Mommy's Girl I have ever personally directed - was to have all of the actors treat the material very seriously, despite it being a very fantastical and unrealistic situation. I didn't want to push them into dark drama like our Pure Taboo brand but, at the same time, I didn't want to brush off the story as a light comedy either.   What Set us Apart is probably my favorite lesbian episode I have directed - it was lighting in a bottle in all respects. And thank you for your kind words - the Cadance/Charlotte scene was one we largely improvised together on set based on a scenario I wrote. All three of these examples are stories where we tried to leave the conventional porn tropes behind and tell hyper realistic stories. The majority of our audience still prefer the crazy squirting, get almost caught in places, and family roleplay scenarios, but I'm happy to see there is some interest out there for believable drama too. What I did want to focus on with this film was telling a very believable, relatable story about a married woman (Lexi) who finds herself feeling same-sex attractions and ends up having an unplanned affair with a confident lesbian woman (Siri) - taking the storyline and emotions seriously and letting the sexual tension build between the women (Lexi and Siri had not performed together, so the butterflies were real) allowed us to cultivate an experience that was very rooted in realism ... especially for someone's first time with another woman.
