Deleting old content is definitely a bad idea. I know you want to keep people from joining a year later just to download all the content so why not just make all the vids available from your site only, i.e. streaming or some other method? Sure SOME people will be able to copy these streams but it would be so few and insignificant, maybe 1 out of 100 or so. This will give people an even better reason to sign up for long-term memberships, much better than having only a few videos per month on a rotating basis.
