He's likely in it just for the buck, hence the addition of a watermark, something that provides marginal protection at best from pirating.

Pirated movies are a fact of life, the same way that parasites are a fact of life too (i.e., entities feeding off others at the host's expense). Do what you can to combat piracy, but don't ruin the product for those that purchase it legitimately.

  I recently bought Stuffin' Young Muffins 8 and was pissed to see a watermark throughout the film. What really depresses me is that the movie was good and I would likely keep the DVD to watch it again. But a watermark means it gets the trash. It aggravates me that I spent my money on this film when I could have bought from another studio that doesn't have watermarks. I noticed that I had a couple other movies from New Sensations on my to buy list. I took those movies off the list: I'll never buy from New Sensations again. I hope the studio goes bankrupt for wasting my money.
