  Well, I bit the bullet and paid top dollar for it and I must say I do NOT regret it! It has OUTSTANDING video! It is not digitally remastered. But they used a very clean film master for it, hardly any artifacts. The sharpness, clarity and colors have held up very nicely. The audio would have been just as good as the video except for about fifteen minutes midway through when we get an echo-chamber effect. This and a bobble with the ending of a sex scene is all that prevents it from being a perfect classic DVD. Why-oh-why don't these clowns review their work before sending it to market?   I don't know if Blake is gay. The thought crossed my mind at one time given his eye for details. But when I talked to him he seemed to have the hots for women. If you are looking for steamed heat, you are correct, Blake movies are not the place. He is trying to produce art, and celluloid is his medium instead of a canvas. His movies try and celebrate the female form. The comparison between him and Helmut Newton is not lost. But give these softcore flicks a try.   Quite of course, I love all the old Penthouse stuff directed by Paul Nevitt (Andrew Blake). He directed all the PLAY-OFF and POTY videos in the early-90s for Penthouse. I think VENUS DESCENDING is probably the best softcore movie I have ever seen, and one of his best works ever.   1) We always thought of SEX 1 & 2 as trial runs leading up to LATEX and SHOCK which we thought of as significantly better. 2) Gerry Pike's acting was literally laughable.
