- Two DVDs in the same fold! Defective movies! 11/1/2006 10:32:03 AM Yep, I've had this and some associated problems with DVDs. Can't be arsed to do anything about it but does mean I only order when the DVDs are cheap/on sale. Shame really 'cos otherwise top etailer. B
- Priority Mail from the U.S. to the UK 5/13/2006 3:21:22 AM Isn't that strange but true? I've had stuff from them in about 4-5 days, similar from X-Rent in California. Yep, global priority from Adult DVD Today is speedy along with Adult DVD Empire. Both highly reconmmended and low cost (although you can order more DVDs from the latter than ADT when using global priority). D
- Recent customs seizures/non-deliveries etc? 10/13/2005 11:56 AM Yeah, suppose I did - some of the Platinum X that they had on discount. To clarify what I meant - I've been ordering from EroDVD for maybe two years sometimes quite regularly and never had anything checked until the most recent two orders where both were checked. B
- Recent customs seizures/non-deliveries etc? 10/13/2005 4:28 AM Sorry to ressurect this thread, but it makes more sense than starting a new one... Received notice today that a Steroid DVD sent from EroDVD had been seized. Interestingly, the previous order from there had the 'packet opened by customs' sticker, so maybe they're taking a closer interest either in post from the Netherlands or EroDVD... B
- LASERSEDGE is the best. 10/7/2005 12:03 PM Not to knock Laser's Edge, but just received an order from Adult DVD Today ordered and shipped last Saturday - that's six days to my door. B
- LASERSEDGE is the best. 10/5/2005 2:07 PM Just received the DVD referred to in my previous post - took 29 days from date of despatch which is around twice as long as orders used to take to arrive. B
- LASERSEDGE is the best. 10/2/2005 5:00 AM From what I can gather, they've changed their shipping method for the $1.99. An order which at the time I had been waiting just over 20 days for was only 9 business days in transit according to Marc. (Orders used to take around 15 days to the me in the UK.) B
- LASERSEDGE is the best. 8/30/2005 1:48 PM I mailed Marc today as my latest order was sent with the cases (which our postman is in the habit of leaving by the front door in full view of the street) and he sent me this reply: Glad to hear it arrived, sorry they screwed up again. I have spoken to the shipping department multiple times regarding this problem. I have added a new category of shipping to the site: Adult Shipping (No Cases!) It is the same price as the other special but the shipping method displays as "No Cases" when they process the order. So hopefully this will resolve the matter once and for all. B
- Loaded247.co.uk 7/19/2005 9:02 AM I've ordered from them in the past without problems, apart from one title which was out of stock for six months and then arrived after I'd lost interest in it (my fault for not cancelling the order, really). Now order from Laser's Edge or EroDVD, however, so you may want to look there (Loaded's range of US titles was quite poor the last time I looked). B
- UK - Question on Import Charges & Utter BS! 6/22/2005 12:30 PM Everything you need to know can be found here, including reclaiming any overpayment of duty/VAT: http://customs.hmrc.gov.uk/channelsPortalWebApp/channelsPortalWebApp.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=pageImport_FAQs&propertyType=document&columns=1&id=HMCE_PROD_008654#P36_4802 Essentially, you are liable for VAT/duty for any purchase of 18 from outside the EU, although it's pot luck if you get caught for VAT/duty when importing. The Royal Mail handling fee is something of a pain, but there are real costs incurred in processing the collection of VAT/duty. Good luck with your future orders.
- Another package gone missing: Lasersedge 5/1/2005 7:54 PM Ramsey - don't kick yourself too much over the no cases as my laste two orders from Lasersedge came with the cases even though I'd requested that they weren't sent. Second order was left outside the front dooe until I got home from work at 20:00. Really surprised the package didn't go AWOL! B
- US Suppliers OK on European Machines? 4/11/2005 3:34 PM Luckily I've never had any of those problems with my newish Pioneer, as I wouldn't accept anything less than RGB. I have a Pioneer 646 and get a weird bleeding effect on my Panasonic TV - had the same problem with a 545. A friend has a bang up to date Pioneer with a four year old Sony TV and same problem, whereas I don't think we had the same problem with the 646 which I tried on his TV when I bought it. Personally, I find S-video to be acceptable and in some respects prefer it to RGB. I forgot about PAL60.
- US Suppliers OK on European Machines? 4/11/2005 5:14 AM To play US discs you need a DVD player and TV capable of displaying NTSC. AFAIK, all DVD players and probably all modern TVs are capable of this. Most adult DVDs are region free so you won't need a multi-region DVD player. However, you are still got guaranteed perfect results. For example, in my experience recent Pioneer DVD players (from the last two or three years) don't get on well with RGB playback of NTSC discs - not a problem, however, unless you prefer RGB to S-video. - Adult Laser's Edge 2/19/2005 4:25 AM Yes. B
- The Lazers Edge - No new movies 1/24/2005 2:39 PM I emailed Marc about when they were going to update the site. He replied: "This week. We had the past two weeks dealing with Inventory and a complete store/warehouse overhaul." Since then only 35 new releases have been added. Hopefully, things will pick up as there's some tasty titles to be had. B
- Laser's Edge - Shipping to UK Costs 1/15/2005 3:25 PM I go for the $1.99 shipping special. Takes around 14-15 days to UK. B
- erodvd.nl: ordering not secure 4/28/2004 12:20 PM OK I believe you and Firefox. Maybe you should drop the company (http://www.uburst.com) behind the shopping solution a mail and make them have a look at the issue. Based on my last experience with security at Erodvd Aline is not able to identify nor fix the issue. Last time she just ignored the problem. Here is the reply I received from uburst: You can read about uShop and how security works at : http://www.uburst.com/uShop/security.html in particular : 2. uShop Security Requirements uShop itself does not implement any encryption mechanism, but rather relies on the standard SSL protocol that is used when communicating with a secure server. That is, the encryption is handled external to uShop - by your browser and your secure server. Thu...
- erodvd.nl: ordering not secure 4/27/2004 4:29 AM Thats it, and I still don't see the problem using Internet Explorer. That's right. There is no warning or sign of any problem with Internet Explorer. However, Mozilla Firefox warns you that whilst the current page is secure, the details will be sent without encryption to the destination server. It might be worth your while downloading Firefox from www.mozilla.org and having a go. Anyway, it's a better browser than IE. :) Dave
- erodvd.nl: ordering not secure 4/26/2004 3:51 PM Ingenmann, I think the issue is the same as the one referenced in the previous thread. As I pointed out before (twice unfortunately), Mozilla Firefox identifies the secutiry lapse, but Internet Explorer does not. Says as much about Bill Gate$' attutude to security as EroDVD's (potential) lack of it. Dave
- erodvd.nl: ordering not secure 4/25/2004 4:03 AM Scipio, If I use Mozilla Firefox to order from EroDVD I get a warning message essentially the same as philosopher's. Don't get a warning if I use Internet Explorer. I therefore figured it was a glitch. Now philosopher has me worried. Maybe more people don't notice as Internet Explorer is the most popular browser.
