  Jay/Evil Angel, Thanks for putting LGL up on Evil on Demand -- I know I've been critical when movies aren't available on EOD until long after the DVD release date, but in this case it appears LGL is up before the DVD street date of 1-25. THANKS!

  Jay, Do you know why there seems to be a delay in making ABB2 availbale on Evil On Demand? The movie was released on October 29th, but Pretty Sloppy is still the most recent update for your section. Evil On Demand advertises that we'll see their movies there "before anywhere else," but six weeks+ seems like an awful long wait. Many of us do not wish to have DVDs sent to our homes and thus online access is preferred. Why can't these films be available on VOD on the same day as (or close to) the DVD street date? Keep up the excellent work.

  Can someone at Evil Angel explain why Anal Beach Buns 2 is not yet available on Evil On Demand? It was released on DVD a month ago. This seems to be a constant problem with Jay Sin releases, and I think EA (or whoever they use for VOD processing) is doing Jay a disservice by not making his excellent movies available in a more timely manner.

  Seems to be back up now, but I really don't understand this business model. Streaming movies are often weeks or months delayed from the DVD release, and other competing companies (such as Elegant Angel VOD) have Buttman's own movies before Evil on Demand (Buttman's Odyssey for example.) Doesn't make any sense.

  I have seen bits and pieces of Deep anal abyss 2 now and all I can tell you is WOW, it is a masterpiece, especially the mMya Nichole scene where Amber Rayne PUMPS out Myas ass!, yes Myas ass literally comes out. I have witnessed this scene via Evil On Demand, and I must say it is completely perverted and depraved, yet fascinating.

  I guess I am going to have to rent Deep Anal Abyss instead of waiting for the Divx version. If these delays are truly technical in nature, I think EA should look into dumping Divx and going with something else, as it is clearly costing them money (my DVD rental will be $5 vs. the $15 I was ready to plunk down for Divx). There has to be a more reliable and timely method to getting the VOD versions out there.

  Sorry for my "aggressive" reply; I guess I am just naive as to what goes into transferring a movie to Divx. Intuitively it would seem that producing a Divx version, which is basically just the movie--no menus, no physical disc replication, etc.--should be much faster than producing (and shipping) actual DVDs. I previously imagined that the folks at Divx basically just take a finished DVD (or VOB file, or whatever), push a few buttons on their computer and have a Divx version ready in minutes. Clearly there is more to it...

  To be honest, I think someone is dropping the ball on these Divx releases. Of all the Evil Angel affiliate directors, Jay Sin's titles are my most eagerly anticipated (and whose delays are most noticeable) and it is inexcusable that the Divx and VOD versions take three weeks or longer to be released (Deep Anal Abyss was released May 21). We've had this discussion before regarding the delays, and it seems that there is a reluctance on EA's part to send Divx the tapes/files ahead of time so the link can be ready on the official release date. Either there is a security concern of the product getting leaked before the release date, or there is a financial incentive to have the Divx/VOD unavailable for a period of time so the DVDs have a better ...

  This has been a hotly anticipated title for many weeks and the release date was October 11. It is over a week later and there is still no download (Divx) option on the Evil Angel website. Some of us don't want to order DVDs online or search our local video store for the DVD. My post is not meant to complain but to find out what the typical process is (if there is one) regarding Evil Angel releases. In other words, is the download not available because EA just hasn't had time to do it yet, or is there an intentional delay between the DVD release and download availability?   The original DVD was missing the anal finale, supposedly because the tape used to make the DVD was incomplete (the scene, while very hot, contains nothing out of the ordinary in today's porn world). It will be nice to have the unedited/unaltered version, if that scene is indeed what is being restored.

  I have just started purchasing DVD's to replace my VHS collection of adult movies, but I am disturbed by some of the editing/censoring I am seeing. First was the well-documented case of Up N Coming in which the anal finale was chopped off. The reason given was a bogus master tape provided by an unscrupulous distributor (and quality control by the DVD author failed to catch it). And now I purchased one of my all-time favorite movies, Let's Get it On with Amber Lynn, an Alex DeRenzy masterpiece, and an entire scene is missing! The scene I'm referring to is the Jamie Gillis/Shanna McCullough/Mauvais DeNoir scene near the end. What happened?   Darn!!! Just got my copy today (not knowing about the missing footage) and talk about a letdown! This final scene is one of my top five best scenes ever (and I've seen a LOT) and I couldn't believe it when it ended before the big finale. I even went back to listen to the Gloria Leonard commentary to see if she said anything about it, but she didn't. I must say the picture and sound quality is very good, but without this final scene intact, it's just not the same. By the way, I have a second-gen VHS copy of the final, unedited scene if Drew or anyone wants to see what is undoubtedly one of the finest scenes in adult filmdom.
