It's a shame she's not coming back, always a fav of mine. As with jbailes I'd heard a few things about her including her real name and decided I was bored so did a quick search online. From what I've seen she's happily married with kids. As much as I'd like to see her back in front of the camera, she obviously thought it was time to move on so I say all the best to her.

I see <link> have picked up on it as well. My guess would be that, considering the assailant has been tried and convicted, that the attack happened some time ago now. A friend of mine sent me over a scan of an article about it all. I can't post it, as it's not mine, but it does go into a little more detail about the attack. Apparently, from what this article says anyway, she suffered a 5cm cut to her neck. She was also strangled and hit over the head with a plant pot. I'll try and find out which paper it's from
