Here have dark film featuring two great girls in Kimberly Kane and Hillary Scott in a tale of a woman who fucks with another woman's man and pays a dear price in the process. Strong performances here and I don't think I've seen Hillary play a character so driven over the edge before. The action really picks up once those two ladies get in the same room the revenge is played out with some strong sex from Hillary in two scenes and in the finale from Kimberly Kane. Worth a look for fans of either lady as they each shine in this one. [read the full review]

David Stanley turns out a fantastic adult feature here that's reminiscent of features from the golden age of porn. With a well written story that's not quite linear, a great eye behind the camera, and fantastic performances from Randy Spears, Sasha Grey, and Nina Hartley, the story portions of the movie just might be more compelling than the sex scenes, which are normally short but full of chemistry. The technical aspects are very well done for the movie and the extras show a little effort to help out the overall DVD. This release isn't going to be for everybody due to its style, but it's a very well made movie that shows why David Stanley deserved to get a lot more credit for his work than he ever seemed to receive. Are We In Love review summaries:
Tongue in Groove's
Are We In Love is a Wicked feature, which typically means couples sex, gorgeous women, and too much storyline and dialogue. But thats not the case here. Yes, there are some periods of plot development between the sex action, but the story keeps moving at a fairly brisk pace and the sex is hot enough that youll probably need a cool-down period after each sex scene. Forget the plotit has something to do with Kelly Kline and whether she and her man are right for each other. We start off with a girl/girl romp between Kimberly Kane and Mia Smiles. Im not a big fan of lezouts, but this one is filmed well and theres a lot of heat between the two girls. Ebony beauty Lori Alexia takes on Niko in the next scene. Its another fairly hot scene, and both performers seem to be into the action, which ends with a nice popshot on Loris mug. Kelly Kline finally gets into the action in a flashback scene with Chris Cannon in a classroom. [read the full review]

The Little Details Running Time: 87 min. Production Date: 4 / 7 / 2005 Director: David Stanley Cast: Nicole Sheridan, Kimberly Kane, Justine Joli, Eva Angelina, Alexis Malone, Chris Cannon, Woodoo, Randy Spears, Evan Stone, and David Stanley in a non-sex role The Short Story Initial Expectations: David Stanley really impressed me with some of his work for Vivid. Im really looking forward to seeing what he can do with Wicked. Initial Reaction: Its very well done and might have even surpassed my expectations. Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting a feature that isnt afraid to deal with darker issues Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting a happy couples movie The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very nice. The audio is clear and well balanced, and although there are some background noises they always feel like they belong to make the scenes feel a little more realistic. The video is also very well done. [read the full review]

"A Gay Man's Take on Straight Porn" Well, I enjoyed David Stanley's Good Things, so I decided to give his latest movie a chance. Is it a move towards a better David Stanley? The Movie: Before I get to the review, let me just tell you the plot. Nicole Sheridan is the lead in this little tale, and she also got the cover. Her character is going through a little bit of hell when the movie starts. She finds out she's pregnant, her husband leaves her, and then she gets robbed. Now she is just looking for a man to protect her. Here are some of the pros and cons of Polarity: Pros: Sex-This has to be one of David Stanley's hottest movies. The sex is well filmed, and he throws in some nice elements such as candle wax to spice things up. You also get to see Nicole Sheridan working with someone other than her husband in this movie. She has a scene with Chris Canoon, and then Randy Spears towards the end. Style and Pacing- The movie is very well filmed, with Stanley injecting a nice bit of style into the production.
