Imagery reminds me somewhat of early Bob Guccione from Penthouse, and Michael Ninn's stuff. It'll probably ring your bell if you like semi-surrealistic porn with dramatic ambient music you'll hate it if you want something down 'n dirty, gritty, or otherwise more raw in look and feel. This release had some nice potential that quickly got lost in the artistic feel of the movie. There's plenty of attention to the costumes and some decent attention to the shoes, but the artistic style hurt the chemistry in every scene and never let anything get going. The technical aspects are pretty average despite an anamorphic widescreen presentation also thanks to the artistic style, and the release doesn't even deliver on the few extras the cover claims. The technical aspects are rarely impressive, but they do show some deliberate care to look and sound how they do. There's an okay behind the scenes featurette, but that's not enough to save this one.
