Hot Summer in the City is a blacksploitation roughie from Harry Mohney that despite a few clever portions isn't really worth watching. The film suffers from aborted subplots, poor character development, and poor filming and editing. The negative aspects within Hot Summer in the City, unfortunately, outweigh the positive aspects. Vinegar Syndrome has done a great job with their streaming release of Hot Summer in the City on Exploitation.TV. The video looks great and the audio is rather good. Fans of the film should be pleased with this presentation.
