There are many tools on Adult DVD Talk to research the market, tap the pulse of the consumer, and to promote your product. Adult DVD Talk is both a shopping portal and a community. We do not sell anything, but equip shoppers with information. The community creates all of the content on the site - from reviews to interviews to forum discussion. Forum moderators and reviewers are community volunteers. Please address business questions including advertising inquiries to the webmaster.

The best way to join in the forum discussion is to first read it, get a feel for the general tone and which kinds of posts go in which forum. We try to foster respectful discussion and do not tolerate rudeness. Please message moderators if you see posts that do not comply with our forum etiquette. You can see a directory of your colleagues who participate in the forum with our member directory.
You must register to post in the forum. Registration is free. Click the "Register to Post" link at the top of the forum, read and accept the rules, and fill out the information on the next page. Your password will be emailed to the address you provide. You can then log in and you will see links to post new topics and reply to topics. You can include your website, favorite links, a photo and some info about yourself in your profile. We require that industry participants be honest about who they are or work for. If you pretend to be a consumer and promote your product your account will be deactivated.
Please do not post the same thing in multiple forums. If you have a question about where a post should go email the webmaster or message the moderators. You are welcome to include a link to your website in your posts, but please do not post with the sole intention of driving traffic to your site. The forum is for fruitful discussion, not simply the posting of announcements and links. Press releases and announcements go in the Porn News - Press Releases forum.
Producers and Directors - a great way to get started would be to address any concerns people have about your movies, or simply ask for feedback. If there's not already an official thread keeping fans abreast of your updates please start one. Sometimes fans get a little over eager about your upcoming releases, but hey, at least they love your work!
Performers - if you'd like to talk to your fans, please post a hello message in the Star Crossed forum - a good subject would be something like "Star X Saying Hi." It's great if you can include a little info about yourself, a picture, social media links, and a link to your website. Please check out our pornstar interviews and drop the webmaster an email if you'd like to be interviewed.
Reviews are written by members of the community. Some reviewers are professional in that other media outlets pay them for their reviews. But the reviews on Adult DVD Talk are fan reviews, meaning that the person reviewing the movie or scene wanted to watch it. The business side of Adult DVD Talk does not influence reviews beyond the fact that reviewers are more likely to see what's coming down the pipe from a studio who advertises. If you want to get a movie in front of a particular reviewers eyes please contact that reviewer. All have different tastes, of course, just like all porn fans.
The Movie Database
Our database includes DVD, rental and VOD/Streaming selections from some of the web's top retailers. We have hundreds of thousands of movies listed, sending out thousands of clicks every day to stores. Pricing is updated daily. New titles are added daily. Do you want consumers to know what's coming from your company? The Release calendar is a great way to get your product featured and provide links to movie trailers. Trailer links are one of our biggest traffic drivers. Studios that advertise receive top placement in the calendar which also runs on our homepage, on top of the forum. If you would like to get your titles featured in the Release calendar please write to the webmaster.
As movies are now being released on VOD before DVD it has become difficult to provide accurate release dates. We do the best we can for the little operation we are (and automate as much as possible.) We welcome database corrections in this forum thread.
Advertising
We accept advertising from studios and performers, but it will not affect the open and honest discussion of your work. We are cheap compared to most other advertising options. Please contact webmaster@adultdvdtalk.com for advertising information. We're not great at "selling." The fact that most of our advertisers have been with us for years, some since we launched in 1999, is hopefully selling point enough.
