Review brief: "Nurses of the 407", a film from the Golden Age of Yesteryear is really not that great of a film, but worth getting for the audio commentary alone (I actually recommend watching the film with the commentary over watching it without).

Review brief: Tricked by lust and libation into accompanying a cute-but-crafty space princess (Robin Cannes) to a far away world from which no one returns, an adventurer (Paul Thomas) and his navigator (Richard Pacheco) find themselves in the clutches of a golden-hued, evil overlord of nigh infinite power. Such is the case in "Sex Wars", a very good, mid-80s sci-fi takeoff from Excalibur and Bob Vosse.

Review brief: This Isn't Christmas Vacation is the worst kind of parody in the adult entertainment industry. It is the kind that doesn't even attempt to do what it promises. The movie is basically four long sex scenes inspired by National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Devil's Film has a decent transfer but hasn't included any real extras and I can't recommend this title.

Flesh Gordon

Release date: 11/9/1999
Reviewed on: 10/19/2015 by flash

Starring: Suzanne Fields
Studio: Hen's Tooth Video

Directed by: Howard Ziehm, Michael Benveniste
Review brief: Flesh Gordon is a softcore parody of the Flash Gordon series which combines the right level of camp, cheesy special effects, and ambition behind it to be a fun film, despite the fact that the originally conceived hardcore version was never to be. Fans of hardcore films from the 70s should find a lot of fun here, while also trying to find the blue screen actors and actresses from the era in the film hiding in the remaining close to hardcore footage. The DVD release from Hen's Tooth Video is better than previous home video releases but falls short of being a definitive release of the film.

Review brief: The Dating Game XXX is but one in a long series of parodies being put out by the adult entertainment industry in bulk. Sadly, it falls into the pitfalls that hinder most of the parody movies being produced there isn't much of the parody and the sex scenes seem forced into the movie. The Dating Game XXX ultimately ends up being rather standard fare. Vivid has given the movie a good presentation on DVD but the extras are lacking.

Review brief: It's all about running and raunch (...and not necessarily in that order...) when two insurance investigators, Jamie Gillis and Robert Bullock, discover that the subject of their recent inquiry is a low-level mob boss, Frank Hollowell, in "Girls on Fire", an overall-good, mid-80s release from VCX and Jack Remy. (**Don't miss the Ginger Lynn / John Holmes coupling here. It's something special.**)

Review brief: At the Country Girl Pizza Parlor, the pies are always served up piping hot and with a smile (...a vertical smile that is...), as all of the restaurant's male (and female) clientele quickly finds out. Such is the case in "Hot & Saucy Pizza Girls", a very good, classic adult film from Bob Chinn.

The ladies are working overtime and they're headed towards prime time television.

Review brief: Comical, clever, risque, and featuring an erotic talent (deep-throating) then unknown to a much more innocent world, it's easy to understand why Gerard Damiano's "Deep Throat", starring Ms. Linda Lovelace, took the early 1970's by storm.

Review brief: I'm usually a bit wary of Porn Parody movies but after seeing the cast list I was drawn in and looked forward in anticipation to viewing the movie. The four stars they had chosen are at the top of there game and this movie was never gonna be anything else other than awesome it was written to be good and they pulled it off.

Review brief: Stormy Daniels writes and directs this feature in which she is in search of 5 diamonds by any means necessary. It seems once she has all 5 and they are in place in a box, she can unlock the secrets of the universe. She gets some help with her thievery by the likes of Anikka Albrite, Asa Akira, Romi Rain, Chanel Preston, Allie Haze and Britney Amber.

Review brief: The Worchester Hotel used to be a famous hotel that celebrities stayed at. Business has recently dried up until an epic adult movie was filmed there and swept all the awards. Now, people flock to it! Kyle Stone is the desk clerk dealing with a cast of characters that include Asa Akira, Jillian Janson, Sara Luvv, Bonnie Rotten and Kleio Valentien.

Review brief: This year marks the 40th anniversary of the production of "The Opening of Misty Beethoven", the 1970's adult film classic from director Radley Metzger and VCA. Starring Constance Money as a young prostitute whom the late Jamie Gillis chances upon while plying her trade in a Parisian theater, this flick traces her journey from an erotically uninspired bore to a talk-of-the-town, world-class sexpot. Indeed, under Gillis' tutelage and with his wealthy friend's (Jacqueline Beudant's) fortune, Money transforms from a hapless, young harlot unwilling to suck a dick to a seasoned pro, capable of pleasuring a group of men, turning homosexuals with her charms, and ultimately seducing the most powerful name in men's publishing and his mistress (Gloria Leonard).

Review brief: This is a very fun porn parody. There's nice chemistry in each of the sex scenes and plenty of fun to be had in the reality TV show parody between the scenes. The technical aspects show some very nice care and there's some nice effort put into the extras. If you're a fan of heavily inked girls and want a reality TV parody, this one is definitely worth your time and money.

Review brief: Zero Tolerance presents a 5 scene disk of short parody numbers as directed by Lee Roy Meyers. They skewer everything from cult films like The Hobbit, to TV shows like Parks and Recreation, family films like Toy Story, kids programs like Sponge Bob and a real life personality, former Toronto mayor Rob Ford. Dani Jensen, Aiden Starr, Chloe Addison, Gaia, Violet Monroe and Veruca James are the comely female talent.

Review brief: This is an inconsistent release with plenty of potential. After a very strong start with James Deen and Julia Ann it seems to lose its focus and becomes very hit or miss. The technical aspects are good, and there's some nice care put into the extras with a bonus scene as well as interviews and outtakes. This is a very solid rental that had the potential to be much more.

Review brief: A porn take on Austin Powers, enough said! Be prepared for a shagadelic good time with Tommy Pistol showing his range once again taking on this role. You also have Natasha Nice having a big role and Raylene is here too as a big supporting presence in the film and also having sex. Natasha is boned twice and you have Allie Haze appearing two times as well so plenty of sexy babes in this and I almost forgot Liza Del Sierra so plenty of hotness here to enjoy. Several nods to the original source material and an easy to follow story line such as it was. Doctor Evil wanting to kill the world or something like that!

Review brief: Stormy Daniels turns out yet another winner with this romantic comedy. Asa Akira is more than solid in the lead, and Michael Vegas shines once again under Stormy's direction. The story is nicely done with plenty of laughs, as well as solid sex. The technical aspects are nicely done and there's good care towards the extras. Stormy Daniels continues to show that she's one of the most reliable directors out there when it comes to adult romantic comedies.

Review brief: Lines are crossed, boundaries are pushed, and sexual self-discovery ensues when the newlyweds, Rocco Reed and the lovely jessica drake, find themselves lost in the woods and at the doorstep of a transvestite porn director's ("Frank n Beans" Mac Turner) twisted carnival of flesh in the "Rocki Whore Picture Show: A Hardcore Parody". An exceptional release from Brad Armstrong and Wicked Pictures, this film is a gem amongst the parody genre. Indeed, the acting is superb, the plot enjoyable, and the fucking (...on the whole...) oh so hot.
