Review brief: Dominatrix Without Mercy is a roughie that was made by Shaun Costello for the Avon cinema chain. This isn't one of the better roughies to have been made during the 70s, with no real plot just the gritty sex. Alpha Blue Archives has done a decent job with the release with the transfer coming from an actual film print.

Review brief: Much to his wife's (Alexandria Cass') dismay, a new-to-the-road trucker (R. "Big Bear" Bolla) finds himself unable to perform sexually unless he's thinking or talking about trucking. Indeed, while "Big Bear" is a huge stud on the road and at the local hangout (the "Trucker's Haven"), he's a total dud at home. Such is the case in "Breaker Beauties", an overall-good, 1977 release from Steven Barry and Alpha Blue.

Review brief: Anyone But My Husband is an enjoyable comedy to come from Roberta Findlay. The sex is great, the cast does a good job, and the film is funny. Alpha Blue Archives has done a decent job with the release, the majority of the master comes from a good print and the missing portions come from a beat up video.

Review brief: Pleasure Island is a poorly done one day wonder that fails at the sex and the story leaving the viewer wondering what the producers were thinking when they put this into the cinemas. Alpha Blue Archives has done a poor job with the release using a video master.

Librianna: Bitch of the Black Sea

Reviewed on: 1/7/2016 by flash

Review brief: Librianna: Bitch of the Black Sea was an attempt to make a pseudo-Russian adult film. While some creativity fell into the concept behind the film, the final product shows ineptness at every level. Alpha Blue Archives has a decent print of the film and despite a few flaws in the transfer has done a good job with this release.

Review brief: Despite the fact that they have two eager and willing boyfriends chomping at the bit to get into their pants, Marsha Wolfe and Yvonne Green decide that it's far more interesting to whore their way around San Francisco--fucking older strangers as they do--than it is to play with someone their own age. Such is the case in "Midnight Hustle", an overall-good release from Steve Brown and Alpha Blue Archives that highlights both the deviant behavior of these two young lasses and also the cruel denial of their guys.

Review brief: A frustrated and depressed housewife, C.J. Laing, finds herself on a slippery, sexual slope when she acts upon the advice of her therapist and begins to cheat on her sleazy, uninterested husband. Such is the case in "Anyone But My Husband", a very good, 1975 release from Alpha Blue Archives and Roberta Findlay.

Review brief: A giggly gaggle of young girls (18+) sets off on the path toward sexual discovery when a pervy, older sleazebag prank calls their sleepover in "A Teenage Pajama Party". An overall-good, 1977 release from Jim Buckley and Alpha Blue Archives, this flick revolves around the fantasies and "real-life" (film-wise) actions that the call brings about.

Review brief: Alpha Blue Archives has put two of Alex de Renzy's titles on this release. One is most likely his best film and the other one is not that great. The transfers for both films are in rather bad shape. Babyface, his best film, appears to be uncut while Little Sisters is missing 16 minutes of footage. Both films are available in better versions on other releases. Alpha Blue Archives hasn't included any extras on this release at all.

Review brief: It's high-speed, crash-'em-up car chases, illegal activity, and plenty of hot fucking when an innocent bystander, Phaedra Grant, incidentally encounters both the "West Side Rapist", Jon Martin, and a cooler-than-you cop, John Leslie, in "Intimate Illusions" (a.k.a. "Boiling Point"). An overall-good, 1978 release from director Paul Levis and the Alpha Blue Archives, this flick starts out for all the world looking like it's going to have an exceptional plot...the car chases, character development, intertwined storylines, etc. ... but then, somewhat randomly, gives it all up midway through and wraps everything with a massive orgy at a disco. (???)

Review brief: When a hulking, beast of a man, Rocky De Sade (played by Ken Turner), is released from prison and begins wreaking havoc all over town, a group of San Francisco prostitutes, S & M enthusiasts, and sexual freaks has little choice but to take matters into their own hands to stop the scourge. Such is the case in "Femmes De Sade", a very good, 1976 release from Alex DeRenzy and Alpha Blue Archives.

Review brief: ...Love You To Death is an interesting adult film. It was made by Lowell Pickett and Leo Productions who tried to create plotted adult films for couples before plotted adult films for couples was chic. An obvious amount of work went into the film but it suffers from multiple problems. Alpha Blue Archives has done a poor job with this release with a substandard transfer and no extras.

Review brief: When she accidentally fucks her rich husband to death, Georgina Spelvin--now in a financial crunch--recalls her two daughters, Annette Haven and Clair Dia, from their boarding school and goes about hatching a plan to get them hitched to rich men. Of course, what unfolds is a variety of bizarre, sexual scenarios and missteps before her plan comes to its ultimate conclusion. Such is the case in "Desires Within Young Girls", an excellent, plot-driven, 1977 release from Alpha Blue Archives and Ramsey Karson.

Review brief: 110 Volts of Torture is a relatively poor compilation from Alpha Blue Archives. There are two movies included on the disc, Shaun Costello's Daughters of Discipline, which is missing at least 20 minutes of footage and isn't in great shape and Terry Sullivan's Young Girls in Bondage, which is such a bad film I am not sure how any masters managed to survive. The disc is poorly authored as well. There are three loops included on the disc, all in poor shape and all nasty and vile and hard to watch. I can't recommend this release for anyone.

Review brief: Hardgore is an extremely bizarre film that attempts to mix horror, gore, and hardcore sex and isn't very successful at any of these tasks. The film looks cheap, rushed, and often makes absolutely no sense, alienating any viewer that attempts to watch and comprehend it. This is not a film I can recommend to anyone. Alpha Blue Archives has an acceptable print for those willing to give the film a chance.

Review brief: A young, aristocratic woman, played by Terri Hall, falls headfirst into Jamie Gillis' dark and ultimately deadly web when she has a chance encounter with the harsh, unfeeling millionaire one fateful evening. Indeed, from the moment of their initial meeting at an establishment of fine-dining, Hall finds herself entranced and enveloped by Gillis' austere and mysterious demeanor, and the dark, sinuous path upon which the two set forth turns not only sinisterly sexual but dangerously controlling, as well. How it all will turn out for the pair is anybody's guess, but the outcome certainly looks ominous...at best. Such is the case in "The Story of Joanna", an acclaimed Golden Age release from director Gerard Damiano and the Alpha Blue Archives.

Review brief: Sex Wish is a gritty, and at times disturbing, adult take on Death Wish which fails at being erotic however works as an adult feature film. The poor picture quality of this disc hinders the release and makes the Cal Vista / VCX release of the film the one to look for instead.

Young Marrieds, The

Studio: Alpha Blue Archives

Directed by: Ed Wood
Review brief: The Young Marrieds collection from Alpha Blue Archives, fully titled The Young Marrieds Plus the Lost Films of Alice Friedland Five-Film Collection, brings Ed Wood's believed to be lost film The Young Marrieds along with the films Kiss My Analyst, Analyze Your Sex, and The Adventures of Flash Beaver. Discerning readers will note the list only includes four films, not five as the full box title states. The obvious highlight of the collection for many interested people will be the only hardcore film on the release The Young Marrieds, being one of Ed Wood's lost films, which honestly is a rather disappointing feature. Analyze My Sex is honestly not worth watching by anyone for any reason. Kiss My Analyst was not an awful but has a sub-par transfer. The Adventures of Flash Beaver was an awful film with a transfer that was not of watchable quality.

Review brief: Alpha Blue Archives' XXX Spy Sex-O-Rama collects three titles from the early 70s, all with a spy theme, Agent 69, The California Connection, and Jane Bond. Two of the films, Agent 69 and Jane Bond, aren't really worth watching at all. The third, The California Connection, is an enjoyable film that is well worth watching. However the film is incomplete on this release. Alpha Blue Archives poor quality masters make this release not worth watching.

Review brief: A collection of old stag reels from the late 60s and 70s featuring busty models in posing and simulated masturbation. Video quality varies from mediocre to nearly unwatchable. The sound is entirely a music track of obscure 60s psychadelic rock. None of the models are credited so who knows who's in it. Worthwhile only if you have a fetish for this kind of video.

Review brief: A collection of video centerfolds, mostly R-rated by modern standards, of some classic busty models from the Golden Age era. Typical Alpha Blue Archives low-effort production. If you really want to see Keli Stewart or Mary Waters moving around instead of in stills, it's good stuff. But if you want something more than just a video posing guide, keep your magazines or photosets and look elsewhere.

Big Tit Super Stars Of The 80's: Lotta Topp Collection

Release date: 5/10/2006
Reviewed on: 12/5/2010 by jayo

Starring: Lotta Topp
Studio: Alpha Blue Archives

Review brief: Lotta Topp is an obscurity, but should have been a star: she was rather pretty (I think she looks a little like Trinity Lauren), she has big breasts and a huge clit. And she did hardcore. This DVD is a collection of her clips from various films you probably never saw. Sex varies from straight MF to dildo masturbation and a little light lesbian. Video quality is fair, sound quality varies from acceptable to atrocious. No extras. Almost any question about this DVD could be answered by "because they couldn't do less." Worth getting if you're a Lotta Topp fan because there's almost nothing else. But only for that reason.

Review brief: Jeanne Silver, a pretty amputee, appeared in men’s magazines and on San Francisco burlesque stages. She had the lower part of her left leg removed when she was a child. The remaining stump, extending several inches below her knee, is little more than bone covered with flesh. Director Alex DeRenzy uses the pseudo-documentary format to display Silver’s sexual habits. She fucks Amber Hunt during a threesome, impales two teenage students and even goes so far as to ram it up a homosexual’s ass.
