Review brief: Running Time: 1:59 minutesStudio: VividDirector: Paul ThomasExtras: Not bad! Behind-the Scenes, Bonus Room, Scene Selection, Previews, Positions Room, Film Setup, and Vivid Girls Extra. The 21 minute behind-the-scenes are segments that weren't in the film. The Bonus room also has a video photo shoot that includes penetration between Janine and Julian...hot! The are a few more scene with Janine and various women and even a circle jerk with Janine and some men. This is before Janine did men, so she really just plays with herself while they're jerking-off.Cast:Janine Sunrise Adams Angelica Sin Olivia O. LovelyMia BeckDominoNick ManningDale DaboneJack LawrenceFirst Impressions: Paul Thomas's movies are usually hit-or-miss with me, but my fingers are crossed. Janine looks like she's in a very playful mood and very horny. Doesn't look like she's gonna be detached in her scenes at all. I'm feeling better already. I've been waiting a long time for this, I must admit. The Scenario: This really isn't a feature film at all. Its more of a Documentary style sex film.

Review brief: The Masseuse Dir. Paul Thomas. Duration. 95 mins. (approx) Starring. Jenna Jameson, Justin Sterling, Savanna Samson, Wendy Divine, Evan Stone. Please be aware that this review contains 'spoilers'. The Masseuse, or to be entirely accurate, Jenna Jamson is The Massuese, is a high profile remake of Paul Thomas groundbreaking 1990 feature. It revolves around the relationship between Justin Sterling, a twenty-something virgin with a fondness for porn and tying himself up, and Jameson, a sympathetic masseuse. The two transgress the boundaries of professional etiquette on their first meeting when Jameson, seemingly touched by her clients naivety, agrees to give him a handjob. Sterling, who shows no interest in the obvious attentions of his co-worker, Wendy Divine, is smitten and, on his next visit, prefers to wait for Jameson rather than take up the option of another masseuse. This time the exchange goes even further, as she agrees to remove her top and perform fellatio. She even goes so far as to take his phone number and agree to visit his apartment, albeit for a price.

Production Date: 8 / 20 / 2002 Director: Paul Thomas Cast: Sunrise Adams, Sophie Evans, Dru Berrymore, Nakita Ka$h, Jordan Haze, Crystal Carter, Cameron, Ava Vincent, Jeremy Steele, Mickey G., Rafe, Randy Spears, Steven French, and Ashley Moore in a non-sex role The Short Story Initial Expectations: Paul Thomas has been fairly hit or miss for me, and due to Vivids treatment of their DVDs I cant get too excited for any of them. Initial Reaction: Its well done as a movie, but sexually it leaves plenty to be desired. Who Should Watch It : Anybody who wishes they could see porn from the early eighties with the stars of today, fans of Randy Spears Who Should Avoid It: Anybody looking for pure and simple whacking material The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: Heart of Darkness was shot on film, which is much more difficult to work with than video. The audio is very nicely done. Its clear, free of interfering background noises, and has a very nice balance.

Initial Reaction: It starts fairly slow, but ends up pretty good. Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting porn with plenty of plot Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting a very soft and luvvy Vivid movie The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is clear and well balanced for the most part, but there are a few problems. There are a couple very minor background noises, but more troubling is that there are several points where the audio and video dont synch.

Review brief: In a word: Vintage. The gist: It's sort of a love hexagon story, with all sorts of different permutations of the relationships between two families. But the most important thing for a viewer to know is that this is a movie with a heavy emphasis on older women. If you're a barely-legal fetishist, stay the hell away. If you like the idea of experienced ladies such as Sharon Kane and Rebecca Bardoux taking center stage in a plot-heavy film, this is your flick. There aren't many others like it. Plot synopsis: Mike Horner and Sharon Kane own an underwear factory, and Michael J. Cox is their heir. Cox is in love with Ava Vincent, who lives in a trailer with her mom, Rebecca Bardoux, a woman of questionable morals who has a past with Horner. Kane doesn't approve of Vincent because of that past, and because of Vincent's lesser socioeconomic status. Horner seems paternally fond of Vincent, but Kane is dominant in their relationship, and he meekly accedes to her views.

Review brief: This is not your typical erotic cinema. Ms. Gere really tries to flex her acting chops, which means as the better actresses go, she qualifies for soap opera work on the networks. It is almost mystifying as to how much drama is instilled over actual fuck scenes. Still, Ms. Gere is so stunning and so cock-hardening, she carries the film. The strap-on scence is not my thing but it gets by. Asia Carrera is underused and it would have been dynamite to have her and Ms.

Review brief: Im a big fan of Kira Kener (the chic on the cover) and thats why I bought this movie only for her. The movie was described as the first Miss Kener adult movie and also as her first movie with anal scene. Wow, what a babe I said. Moreover Ive read some interview with her from that era, and when she was asked what is her favorite sex position, she answered that its anal. I said wow, what an enthusiasm one more time and couldnt wait to see her in action. For those whore not familiar with Kira. Shes an Asian looking (in fact shes only partly Asian, she has also some Norvegian origins) hot babe with fucking pretty face, big (DD) boobs, great ass and killer legs. In short great looking body. What do you want more, huh? Plot: As in any adult film pretty simple. A guy is addicted to having sex with nurses. Hes being caught and have to go to take some experimental de-toxic therapy.

Review brief: Title: Cheating Released by: Vivid Wave If you were to ask an adult film director to come up with a movie called "Cheating", he or she would probably line up a few VERY fresh faces (as in 18-21) and come up with a movie about a couple of college girls who screw to get the answers to their finals. After all, thats what people think cheating is all about nowadays. Thats what the subject of all of these mainstream movies are about. They all have to do with school and tests. Fortunately this particular movie was done in 1994. Back then, cheating had nothing to do with school or exams, and EVERYTHING to do with extramarital affairs. And the key players in this movie certainly didnt look like they just came out of high school! The key question to ask about this movie isnt whos fooling around. The real question is who ISNT fooling around on their significant other and with WHOM. No doubt by the end of the movie the answer will surprise you. The movie focuses around a group of friends preparing for a surprise birthday party.

Review brief: Marissa is an interesting story filled with some pretty hot and some wild sex. Marissa (Cassidey) is the fan of an aging Sax Jazz man who has not performed in public for a decade. She convinces him to play at her club and with her help after a rough start he rises back to the top, but it is a wild ride along the way filled with Love, infidelity and disaster. A romantic film with a little spice this would be a great starter couples film for the more adventurous. A Gorgeous cast filled with some Beautiful women and handsome men as well as a good soundtrack top this film off. The only thing I disliked about this film was in the editing. The sex scenes often seem choppy as they keep flip flopping between positions.

Production Date: 10 / 30 / 2001 Director: Paul Thomas Cast: Taylor Hayes, Joey Ray, Taylor St. Clair, Dale DaBone, Julie Meadows, Voodoo, Meriesa Arroyo, Tony Tedeschi, Adajja, Rikki Lixxx, Jason McCain, Mark Wood, and Eric Everhard and Paul Thomas in a non-sex role Initial Expectations: Ive heard a lot of great things about this movie, so Im going in with some pretty high expectations. Initial Reaction: Although its not great whacking material, it is a well done adult film. Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting porn with an extremely mainstream movie feel Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting a straightforward porno without much artistic expression Audio /Video Quality: The audio is very clear and well balanced, without even a hint of background noise. The feature was shot on film, so it has a much more grainy look than most features shot on video. Its treated pretty well here, but the grain is still quite noticeable. Beyond that, and with the exception of a couple soft focus problems, its great.

Review brief: I dont mind that Paul Thomas seems to think porn scenes are too longmany of them arebut in Believe It or Not 2 the director goes too far in the other direction: most of the scenes are too short. This is a 70-minute film, and each of its five sex scenes is preceded by an interview, the gist of which is dramatically fleshed out as the scene begins. It doesnt leave a lot of time for the sex. Well, at least it never gets boring. The films conceit is that only three of its five stories are true; the discs last chapter reveals which are fact and which fiction. (I got three right.) The idea works because the storytellers are porn stars and therefore just about anything seems possible. A couple having sex on a pool table in a crowded bar? A porn star screwing the security guard after signing autographs in a video store? Why not? If we believe this film, the porn-star stereotype was honestly come by; nothing in this film is so far out that it strains credulity. The scene that comes closest to doing so, however, is the films least appealing scene.

Review brief: REVIEW "If You Only Knew" Starlets: * Synopsis * Taylor Hayes discovers she pregnant, but at this point in her marriage, her husband (Joey Ray) seems to be indifferent to her. In the morning, he's much more absorbed in the newspaper than Taylor. She's invisible except when she is serving him breakfast. Taylor can't find the right moment to break the news to him and feels upset about the distance between them. When Taylor tries to make a connection, Joey is clueless to her cues. Enter old college buddy "Jerry" played by Dale Debone. In college DeBone and Ray were a couple of wild and crazy guys. In the years since Ray's character has settled down, but DeBone's character is still a free spirit. DeBone still smokes pot, deals drugs, drinks like a fish, throws crazy parties, beds as many women as possible and avoids anything resembling traditional family life like the plague. DeBone is disappointed to see that Ray has changed so much and tells him that his current life is a joke. Despite their obvious differences, Ray lets his old friend stay with him.

Review brief: Bad Wives 2 Directed by Paul Thomas Overall Impression Generally I am not a huge fan of Vivid titles, but every now and then I give one a try because they do have some good looking talent and they surprise me from time to time with some good stuff. This is certainly one of the better Vivid feature I have seen as of late. The cast is very respectable, with some great performances from Raylene, Ryan Connor, April, and Kylie Ireland. The reason this DVD is not getting a higher score from me is because, even though there is some real heat generated in some of these scenes, it was never maintained for very long, because if bad editing decisions and poor camera work. It really is a shame in my opinion because you can see that there are some excellent performances here, but they are not captured as well as they should be. Another sore spot for me was how grainy the picture looked. The audio is sharp. Plot I actually payed a little attention to the plot in this onw surprisingly.

Review brief: Unfortunately I did not read andyblake's review before purchasing. I had rented the VHS video and it was fantastic 4.5 stars with outstanding scenes from Tricia Devereaux(love the glasses) and Missy. So I had purchased the DVD for a permanent copy expecting better picture and sound. What VIVID did to the DVD is just wrong. To get their multiangle shots they just cut up the scene. None of the angles are the original full scene. Let me keep this simple. DO NOT BUY THE DVD. By all means get the VHS copy, it was great. Message to VIVID You have permanently lost a customer. I will never purchase/rent a VIVID DVD in the future. Multiangle must have the original scene intact on angle 1, other angles can be used if additional footage is available.

Review brief: * DIRECTOR: Paul Thomas. * DURATION: 90mins. * STARRING: Aletta, Daniella, Fernanda, Genevieve, Judyh, Kate Moore, Kathlin Zombor & Taylor Hayes. Jekyll & Hyde is a Vivid feature classic starring Taylor Hayes, Julian and a lot of European women. Like many classics, this film falls completely flat on its face. Its difficult for me to express my disappointment, but Ill try anyway. Of the female cast, the only name I knew (and the only reason I bought this DVD) was Taylor Hayes. Still, it was Vivid so I should have known better should have known far better. Sigh. First up, the plot. Jekyll & Hyde has been lauded for its story. Personally, I found the story uninteresting, even off-putting, and it unquestionably interfered with the sex. Not only that, but there were virtually two stories going on at once, independent of each other. Taylor and Julian had a plotline that was semi-interesting while the European (Hungarian?) cast were totally involved in their own non-English drama. Clearly, a lot was put into production values and Taylor and Julians acting were good.

Review brief: * DIRECTOR: Paul Thomas. * DURATION: See below. * STARRING: Dyanna Lauren, Melissa Hill, Missy, Stephanie Swift & Tricia Devereaux. Bad Wives is a Vivid feature with an impressive cast, and is also considered a porn classic. Unfortunately, like most classics its not everything its cracked up to be. Disenchanted with their mundane lives, housewives Dyanna and Melissa try something different, but not everything goes to plan thanks to supermarket wild-child Steven St. Croix ... It seemed fairly run-of-the-mill to me more elaborate, well-filmed and well-acted than a normal porn film, but nothing spectacular. In particular, a number of non-sex parts dragged out and I thought the ending was a disappointment (but I wont spoil it). The sex itself was pretty good for Vivid, and there was quite a lot of it; the cast was good too. I thought Id point out andyblakes review, for his warning about the excessive cutting of the movie. I havent seen the VHS version so I cant comment on whats been lost from the original movie, but this might explain why I wasnt tremendously impressed. Something to be aware of at any rate. Overall, I found Bad Wives a fairly mundane feature.

Review brief: * DIRECTOR: Paul Thomas. * DURATION: 90mins. * STARRING: Asia Carrera, Christa Rain, Christy Canyon, Dallas, Jenteal & Shelby Stevens. OVERALL: A fun movie for Christy Canyons 90s comeback. The story is light but entertaining though, as always, Vivid sex leaves a fair bit to be desired particularly as Christy doesnt seem too enthusiastic with men. A decent film overall with some funny moments and some erotic moments, especially in the scene with Christy and Jenteal. FEMALE LOOKS: I got started in porn after Christy retired, so I dont know how she looked at her peak. Here her face is a little gaunt but she is still attractive with a natural appeal, though the famous massive (natural) breasts are starting to sag. The girls in the first three scenes Christa, Dallas and Shelby are average, and Ive never thought highly of Asias looks. Jenteal however looks gorgeous and suitably innocent for her first girl-girl scene. MALE LOOKS: About average with Ian Daniels, Michael J. Cox, Steve St. Croix, Tony Tedeschi and TT Boy.
