Review brief: This is a big budget adventure on the high seas. The girls are all gorgeous, but the action is a little slow for my taste. Likely to appeal to couples and people who like big budget films.

Review brief: Title: Conquest: Special Collectors Edition Released by: Wicked Pictures Normally you dont hear "adult film" and "special collectors edition" together in the same DVD. But the folks at Wicked Pictures brought the two together quite well. Ok, lets start with the movie. This is a movie about pirates that actually uses a REAL ship. Were not talking the set of a ship or an elaborate mock-up with a green-screen ocean. Im sure that set producers back quite a bit, which probably also explained why they only used ONE ship. Period costumes, period weapons, and some attempts at period language. Now without even watching the opening credits, I knew that this was an Adam & Eve production, even if it was released by Wicked Pictures. How do I know, you ask? Because of the excessive use of slow motion, especially during the sex scenes. Well fortunately they dont go overboard as they did with some other movies ("Caribbean Undercover" comes to mind). (Repeat after me: sex plus slow motion equal BORING!) There IS a story in this movie.

Initial Reaction: Its an excellent re-release! Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting beautiful locations for sex or more group sex than one on one action Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting more plot than scenery with their couples porn The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty close to those of the original release, but look a little better. The audio is a bit of a mixed bag.

Most of the time its nicely done and allows you to hear the dialogue clearly.

Review brief: Description This is a collector's edition release of the 1996 Jenna Jameson movie Conquest. I didn't see the original version, but this one has added extra features. General Impression It's fun to watch, the sort of swashbuckling pirate adventure that they used to show on Saturdays at the elementary school auditorium when I was a kid. Well, not quite! This one has less plot and more sex. They spent a lot of money on this movie, and it shows. But they weren't too careful about historical accuracy. That's okay, though. Part of the fun of the movie is giggling over the I Dream of Jeannie hair and fake eyelashes, the shaved pussies, the shiny hair scrunchy, the thong tan lines, and so forth. The plot is going to lose you a bit at first -- not because it is complicated, but because quite a bit of the dialogue is mumbled or at low volume, and the characters speak of several people without any explanation of who they are talking about.

Review brief: Running Time: 69 min. Production Date: 1 / 17 / 1997 Director: Greg Steel Cast: Serenity, Shayla LaVeaux, Sindee Coxx, Anna Malle, Vince Voyeur, Kyle Stone, Hank Armstrong, Alex Sanders, and Anthony Crane in a non-sex role Initial Expectations: I think Serenity is one of the most talented females in the adult industry, which normally gives me quite a bit of hope for her features, especially with the high quality DVDs Wickeds been turning out lately. Initial Reaction: Its nothing you havent seen before, but its still well done. Who Should Watch It : Anybody who likes a little plot with their porn Who Should Avoid It: Anybody looking for a lot of nasty sex Audio /Video Quality: The audio is very clear and well balanced, especially for a feature that was shot before DVD was around. The video is pretty good, but does have a little grain and some shadow problems. Theres also a fairly long cut where you can see some of one of the cameramen on the side of the screen.

Review brief: The Plot: Yep, not every great movie makes a whole hell of a lot of sense. Conquest is a good example. Our lovely tale of lust and torn bodices starts with a hanging. John "Dutch" is about to die for his crimes as a pirate. Sentenced to hang by his neck until dead (Does anyone just hang by the neck until uncomfortable?), John is rescued at the last second by his Captain, his fellow crewmen and the timely intervention of a chick with big tits. Naturally, no good deed goes unpunished, and we are treated to watching the crown prince (hilariously overplayed to perfection by somebody who deserved more credit) rant & rave about "Blackheart", our hero. Speaking of our hero, he and his crew are resting in the Batcave before setting sail. Captain Steubing receives a navigation chart and instructions to meet up with the rest of his crew at an uncharted island. Instead of thwacking the guy over the head for giving him a chart and instructions for an uncharted island, he wanders off to brood over the loss of his family.

Review brief: Good movie if you like plots! They did a very good job on this one. Costumes, makeup, and the women, led by Jenna Jameson, Juli Ashton, and Asia Carrera and were on fire! Vince Vouyer and Alex Sanders were fantastic.
