Running Time: 74 min.
Production Date: 11 / 30 / 2001
Director: None listed
Cast: Tracii Taylor, Rayn, Extacy, Missy Hyatt, and Tammy Sytch
Initial Expectations: Iíve never really been into wrestling, but Iíve been so impress by everything else Iíve seen from Pandora that I decided to pick this one up.
Initial Reaction: Itís easily Pandoraís worst offering, but I still couldnít help but kinda like it.
Who Should Watch It : Anybody looking for something softcore and who doesnít mind a little grain
Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting actual wrestling or sex
Audio /Video Quality: The only audio is the music, which is pretty consistent. The video has some bad pixelation and looks about like a second generation VHS copy. Itís not lit too badly, but thatís about the only good thing I can say about it. Iíve often complained about the video quality in Pandoraís releases, and when I look from where they are now compared to here, where they started, I can see that theyíve made some good progress.
Music: Although the music is the only audio and can be easily adjusted, itís at a nice level and fits the softcore feel of the feature nicely.
False Advertising: The cover states twenty minutes of bonus footage but the only extra I could find was contact information. I deducted a full point from the overall rating because of this.
Menus: The main menu and chapter menu are both very plain but nice looking and without animation. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on the girl in the scene and a still from the scene.
The Feature: Wrestling Vixxxens is a softcore feature featuring the girls you see in the wrestling rings on TV. The girls rarely interact with each other, and you never see so much as a kiss between them. Think of it as an hour and a quarter movie that jumped out of a Playboy pictorial.
Missy Hyatt, a very buxom girl with some definite ethnicity, starts things off . Sheís followed by cute implanted blonde Tracii Taylor, who shows some great diversity in her scenes going from S&M outfits to an elegant evening dress to a lace bra and panties. Extasy, a brunette with nice natural tits, takes the third position, and has kind of a tomboy feel to her. Next, the vixxxens team up to pose together, before bleached blonde Rayn, a cute blonde, takes her solo turn starting out looking like a naughty schoolgirl and moving through several naughty and nice outfits. Tammy Sytch, whose face reminds me quite a bit of Devon, finishes up the solo sections with a wide range of outfits as well as a few wigs. The final segment shows the Vixxxens at play with a game of Twister and having a pillow fight, which might make the entire feature for some people. Finally, thereís about four minutes of behind the scenes, which basically shows the girls changing in the back room with a lot of music blaring in the background. Itís not much of a sequence, and doesnít let the feature end on a high note.
Wrestling Vixxxens has some definite style to it. It mixes up still photos and moving shots, as well as black (or blue, red, etc.) and white and color shots. Although the video quality pretty much sucked, I couldnít help but like it for its style. The girls are taken through several different outfits, and each seems to show a different style of the girl at the time. It also lets things get mixed up enough that, although the entire feature has about the same style, it keeps feeling fresh and fun.
Although thereís a part of me that really wants to hate it, I couldnít help but like Wrestling Vixxxens. The girls play to the camera great, and the editing keeps things moving and fun. It has some definite problems, namely the video quality, but itís not much different than the crappy treatment Caballero is giving Andrew Blakeís features, and people still buy them. If youíre interested in this one but not quite sure, give it a rental to check it out since you might be pleasantly surprised. Wrestling Vixxxens is flawed, but still does just what it set out to do.
Extras: Contact info
Themes: Softcore and all girl
Raincoat Factor: High, if just seeing solo naked women is enough for you
Overall: Currently, Wrestling Vixxxens can be found online for between $13 and $25, with nobody really agreeing on a price. If youíre interested in this one, Iíd recommend picking it up right away since one of the affiliates is listing it as discontinued. The feature is well done and artistic, but the transfer sucks and thereís no extras.
