An all sex film where barely legal teens have sex.
Teen Spirit 1 is presented in the full screen aspect ratio, 1.33:1, which is the original aspect ratio for the film. The picture quality of the film is beautiful. There are no artifacts, glitches or any other abnormalities.
The available audio track on the disc is a 2.0 English Mono track, which suits the film just fine. As there is no real plot, audio special effects or anything else of the sort, no fancy audio track is needed. The dialog can be heard at all times during the film. No other language selections and no subtitle options are available.
There are five chapters available from the main menu for Teen Spirit 1. Each of them is identified by a video clip from the scene. One chapter goes to each of the scenes in the film. There is a time code for the feature film, so time searching is available.
There are almost no extras available on this disc and only one of them actually has to do with the feature film. The photo gallery contains 24 photos that you flip through. All the rest of the extras are spam of some sort or another. Under the innocent looking label on the disc “More Adult Fun” lies a pile of adverts for phone sex, “web site” is hiding another advert and if you flip the disc over there are more than 35 trailers for other Metro titles.
The styles to all of the scenes in the film are the same. There is a brief scene set up, long enough for you to get the gist of where they are before they go straight into the sex scene. The scenes themselves are disappointing. They lack direction or lack good direction. Often an attempt is made at a sexual position that fails, yet it is still included in the film instead of ending up on the editing room floor where it belongs. As a result many of the sex scenes appear haphazard.
The female talent doesn’t appear to be at their best in this film either. I’ve only seen one of the females in the cast before, Aurora Snow, and she definitely isn’t looking her best here. Her performance is uninspired and she seems tired. The two female stand outs in the film are Harley and Katie Morgan. The sex is harder than what most couples are looking for. The female cast is all shaved as well for viewers who are into that. For viewers who care, no condoms are used in any scene in the film. The sexual themes in the film are vaginal, oral and anal sex with toys, strap-ons, lesbianism and brief anilingus.
The actresses in the film are supposedly legal aged teenagers, although many look like their teen years are definitely behind them. I’ve never understood why adult film makers think that if you put a girl’s hair into pony tails or pig tails everyone will think she is 18 or 19 years old. Here the film makers have given the girls barrettes, pony tails, pig tails, candy necklaces and in one case a really big lollipop. All this goes on to do is affirm the fact that none of these girls are in their legal teens.
Some great starting scenes end up in disappointment as they are not played out to their full potential. For example in the third scene with Lainey, Scarlet and Harley a 3-way dildo is pulled out and put into action. After Lainey and Scarlet insert and start riding their shafts, Harley just blows her shaft instead of going for the three-way ride.
The Money Shot:
Teen Spirit is a lacking release that often disappoints the viewer. If you are a huge fan of one of the cast members you might want to pick this up as this title can be found rather cheaply. If not, you’ll probably want to look for another title.
