Themes: Feature, Artistic
"Innocence: Candy Girl" is the one and only movie I've seen from the studio Ninn Worx. They're apparently known for their artistic take on pornography. The "Innocence" movies are filmed against an empty white background (I guess to symbolically represent innocence). It's a very stylized, romantic, dream-like way to shoot, very different than typical Red Light District style gonzo.
The director Halle Vanderhyden seems to do porn for the MTV generation, with dozens and dozens of quick cuts and edits in every scene. For some this may be disorienting, as it's tough to focus on one specific thing while the camera is jumping around so much. Also for porn viewers with a short attention span, there's the very cool option of selecting between two different camera angles in every scene.
Scene 1: August and a porn stud
August is an incredibly beautiful Hispanic porn starlet who, although super-hot, is not known for doing anything extreme on camera. She usually looks very glamourous and detached from the proceedings. This scene is no different, as we meet August teasing us and masturbating with a vibrator on some very classy furniture. The sets in this movie are quite good, and add an air of sophistication so often lacking in today's porn.
August eventually does some decent oral on the guy before getting fucked (with a condom) in a variety of positions, mostly in reverse cowgirl on one of the couches. August, as usual, looks simply ravishing as her beautiful body bounces up and down on the guy's dick. He eventually shoots an o.k. load, mostly missing her face. August obviously doesn't like getting facials; she flinches whenever the stuff hits her. Good thing for her she gets a bad facial to end this scene.
Scene 2: Loni and two guys
Loni is a petite Asian starlet who in this scene is dressed in a cute schoolgirl's outfit, which soon comes off. Loni circles the large canopy bed, which is the only furniture in the otherwise all-white set. I suppose the director wanted to focus on the sex in these releases, and did away with extraneous props or furniture on the set. As a result, all of the scenes happen in basically empty white space instead of in some rented porn valley mansion, which is a welcome change of pace.
Loni fingers herself to a loud orgasm on the bed before giving a blowjob. The sex is fairly sterile and Loni seems to be moaning on cue with not a lot of passion. The guy does fuck her ass for a while. Then another porn stud shows up and they all do a DP. It's not really hot in this setting (everything's white and blurry and detached). The DP continues briefly and then Loni gets some decent facials.
Scene 3: Pason and a guy
Pason is a red-headed hottie who started off her career as "Red Heaven." That's how she's billed in this scene, but she's better known now as Pason. Pason is not an all-natural girl, as she has some rock-hard grapefruits implanted in her chest, but she's still very sexy and quite "innocent" looking- perfect for the theme of the movie!
Pason's set consists of a contemporary purple velvet couch with matching ottoman (damn, Ninn Worx must have a pretty decent budget). Why am I focusing so much on the furniture in this film? Well, because it looks quite expensive, fitting in with the "high-class" production values of the movie, and also because that's all there is to look at besides the girl in every scene. It's certainly minimalist pornography.
She fingers herself with a pretty good deal of passion; she really looks as if she's trying to get herself off. A guy comes in and penetrates her for a while; Pason even does some anal in doggy-style on the couch. The anal upped the heat factor in the scene a notch, but the lame 1980's style stroke-off onto her tits afterwards did nothing for me.
Scene 4: Holly Hollywood and one dude
Holly's scene begins Disc 2 of the movie. She's a very cute blonde, looking stunning in a see-through black dress and heels. She has a red couch to occupy her scene, breaking up all of the white space.
She fingers herself and gets fucked predictably. Holly also takes it in the ass! All of the anal seems a little "hard" for an artistic couples movie, but there's no gaping, A2M, or other shenanigans to turn off the less perverted. There's even a lot of condoms in the movie, including in Holly's scene. And, lest you think the film is too hard-core, there's a pitiful money shot to her stomach to end the scene.
Scene 5: Pason and Amytheist Stone
I guess we needed a Lesbian pairing to tie up all the loose ends. Pason and Amytheist (a tall, attractive blonde) are given some kind of matching red and blue stools as their only furniture. The girls look dazzling as they eat each other out, but there isn't any heat or enthusiasm in the scene. They play with a vibrator for a while. Like the rest of this movie, it looks really, really, good, but there's not a lot of substance.
The audio and video quality of the release were superb, doing justice to its artistic intent. Everything "pops" in color and looks fabulous against the stark white background. Although the picture is somewhat "softened" (i.e., every thing is very slightly blurry and dream-like), the film is still visually stunning. One can tell that some thought went into constructing the sets and making sure that the entire result is quite aesthetically pleasing.
"Innocence: Candy Girl" is certainly not your average hard-core gonzo movie. It's a feature film without a plot, that strives for beauty and artistic originality rather than a focus on extreme sex acts. This is porn that even your pretentious art-school friends can like. It's also definitely a "couples" feature, despite the amount of anal sex, with lots for women (I imagine) to enjoy.
This was my first foray into "artistic" porn, and I was left with mixed feelings. On one hand, I liked it for what it was trying to do. The girls all looked beautiful, and the film was an aesthetic delight for the senses. Unfortunately, one major "sense" of mine was left cold. The film really didn't turn me on at all sexually, because there wasn't a lot of heat. I can't imagine ever masturbating while watching this one. Raincoaters and self-professed perverts will probably want to avoid this and other stuff from Ninn Worx, but open-minded people looking for a great-looking, originally shot film will find a good deal to enjoy in "Innocence: Candy Girl."
