Contract girls Kaylani Lei, Alektra Blue and Mikayla Mendez each have a sex scene along with Jessica's two scenes. It's a mostly solid effort from director-editor-producer Michael Raven that's shot and mastered in High Definition, recorded in Dolby Digital. Condoms are used.
After Rebecca hides from The Caller and the opening credits roll, the flashbacks begin as Rebecca and her beau, Matt, (Eric Masterson) a worn-out cop, suck and fuck in her bedroom. (It's a well shot straight sex scene with Jessica finding time to finger her own asshole in cowgirl)---!! !/2
Rebecca dreams that Matt is The Caller then has a session with Jake Callahan (Brad Armstrong) who details his encounter with a sexy bartender (Alektra Blue) that leads to a violent clash with a creep at the bar. (Out at his vehicle, Brad's scene with Alektra is mostly an upright straight sex affair that ends with a facial---!! 1/2)
"Cops are you looking for you, boy" says The Caller's Momma. (Veronica Hart)
Rebecca bemoans the fact that's she's allowed another unavailable person into her life that's not unlike her cop father (Randy Spears) whom she catches humping a woman via flashback. (Randy hooks up with Kaylani Lei in a solid straight sex bedroom encounter---!!!)
More narration from Rebecca plus Matt and Jake talking about catching The Caller move the thin plot along, which leads to another session between Rebecca and Jake ending with Jake asking Rebecca out for sushi.
Meanwhile, down at the precinct, Matt observes two cops engaging in a little suck and fuck action. (Mikayla Mendez's straight sex scene with a cop who stays in his policeman's uniform---!! 1/2)
Our duo eat sushi while Rebecca tells Jake about how her father was killed in the line of duty plus a few murders are thrown in here.
Rebecca and Jake hump each other in the office but it's all a fantasy. (This scene concludes with a desktop anal spoon and a drop-to-her-knees facial. Earlier, Brad sticks his fingers up Jessica's butt plus Jessica sticks some sort of dildo billy club up her butt while Brad fucks her---!!!)
The last 15 minutes flash-forward to Rebecca being menaced by The Caller for the finale.
There's nothing spectacular here in terms of the integration of these mostly straight sex scenes into this thinly plotted thriller. Seems like writer Jennifer Allison uses the flashbacks to reveal more about Rebecca's past so that we give a hoot when The Caller comes a calling in the finale. So, placing an even greater emphasis on the build-up to Jessica Drake's two sex scenes (while reducing the length of the other contract girls' scenes) would seem ideal here.
So HUSH (2009, Wicked Pictures) looks and sounds great but falters when giving minor (very minor) characters too much screen time in order to utilize the carnal talents of contract girls Kaylani, Alektra and Mikayla. Final rating is !! 1/2 outa !!!!!
Extras include HUSH trailer---a 12 minute Jessica Drake Bonus Scene from MOBSTER'S BALL II (!! 1/2)---a 16 minute BTS---2 minute Photo Gallery---6 trailers.
