After a tough day at the office, Andrea stops off at a hotel bar, where she shares a drink with a guy. She thinks he's merely hitting on her, but when she realizes that he's expecting her to have sex-for-money, she tosses her drink in the poor guy's face. That night, she dreams about him (a solid straight sex scene with Marcus London), then the next day, she decides to return to the escort bar. He's there and Andrea eventually agrees to go upstairs with him. She excuses herself to the bathroom where she calls her pal, Margo (Eva Angelina), who tells her to go for it, including taking the money or at least having him take her shopping. When the lines between escort and girlfriend blur, Andrea soon finds herself alone again. She decides to continue meeting guys at the escort bar where she hooks up with a guy in a gray pin-stripe suit (Barret Blade, who has a solid suck and fuck session with Jessica), then, a bed-bound Andrea recounts the parade of men that she meets from her escorting via a nice multi-dissolve camera effect.
At about the DVD's halfway point, Andrea decides on a change of scenery. She meets another escort (Chanel Preston) who, in a sense, becomes her lady pimp. Her first assignment is to join her in a three way (Jessica and Chanel warm-up before Brad Armstrong enters this solid sex scene) then her next assignment is to dominate a guy (Randy Spears), who just so happens to be her bastard boss from her daytime job. (A masked Jessica dominates Randy who sits on his ass in bed while she sticks her feet in his face during a hand job, sucks him, then rides him. The main problem is not the anal sex but that Jessica's character supposedly hates this guy so why would she allow him to fuck her in the ass? Or fuck her at all, for that matter?) Andrea's next assignment finds her face-to-face with the first guy she had met at the bar, which messes with her mind; she storms out of a swingers' party and ends up walking the streets where she propositions an undercover cop, who busts her for prostitution. And all of this ends a little too well, which includes payback for her boss at the office.
At just over two hours, HOOKED (2010, Wicked Pictures) is one of the better recent Wicked features, but again, it contains a few sex scenes that would better serve this DVD as bonus materials in the Special Features. For example, Eva Angelina looks great, sucks and fucks great in her scene with Bill Bailey but then her Margo character disappears. Also, the swingers' party (three couples briefly share suck and fuck screen time) is the final sex scene that serves 0, na-da, no purpose to Andrea's plight.
In other words, HOOKED would have been a heckuvalot better had Andrea's encounter with her boss been the final sex scene. Better yet, having her beau from earlier in the DVD show up for a three-way (a la the Brad Armstrong sex scene) would have been a much more dramatic ending to this DVD.
Special Features of note include a bonus scene from 3 DAYS IN JUNE (click on T0MBOne for a review), a 25 minutes BTS, a 3 minute Photo Gallery, 6 trailers and Wicked Promo Reel.
So, Brad Armstrong's HOOKED (2010, wicked Pictures) is a solid feature in so much as it looks and sounds great. The escorting theme, a good one. Jessica Drake is fine in the lead but like 3 DAYS In JUNE, her character's story loses its impact thanks to extraneous sex scenes that are tagged on for no good reason. Drop the two above-mentioned sex scenes into the Special Features and Mr. Armstrong and company have an even better 90 minute XXX erotic-drama. HOOKED receives a not totally hooked rating of !!! outa !!!!!
