The Mitchell Brothers' "Grafenberg Spot" was a movie described in the book "Bottom Feeders" as a "six-day wonder shot to fund legal expenses". By the sounds of that description, you would think that the movie is a piece of shit. "The Grafenberg Spot", however is a quite watchable, and actually very entertaining film that while doesn't reach the standards of "Behind the Green Door" or "The Resurrection of Eve", is still a must-see in the adult genre.

The cast in this movie are amazing. It is certainly a who's who of adult cinema in 1985. Ginger Lynn, Harry Reems, Annette Haven, John Holmes, Amber Lynn, Nina Hartley, Lili Marlene, Rick Savage. Traci Lords was in the original version of the film.

Story tells of a comparative literature graduate named Leslie (played by Ginger), who has the habit of pissing in her lover's (Harry Reems) face while getting eaten out. She goes to a clinic where a doctor (Annette Haven) teaches her about the Grafenberg pleasure spot. There, Amber Lynn plays another patient, and a one-time wonder named Thor Souterh plays a doctor who ends up getting romantically involved with Leslie (and also is involved in a fantasy with Ginger and John Holmes a well-hung welder).

The DVD version is only about 60 minutes long, due to some of the bits being cut out. The movie still feels very complete, though, and it is a good way to kill an hour.

The audio and video are some of the best I have seen on an adult DVD. The features are also quite good. We get the original theatrical trailers (which is a quite rare and welcome feature on classic DVD's) for this title, "Behind the Green Door", "Autobiography of a Flea", "The Resurrection of Eve", and "Inside Marilyn Chambers". There is also a bloopers reel, which apparently was originally in the end credits.

I bought this movie along with "Resurrection of Eve" for $70. I would give the movie a $40 worth, considering it's worth buying even on its own, considering it is one of a handful of Mitchell Brothers movies available and because of the inclusion of the theatrical trailers. I still have to pick up "Autobiography of a Flea" on DVD and hope for a release of "Inside Marilyn Chambers". In the mean time, I'll have to order the VHS copies of IMC, "Grafenberg Girls Go Fishing", and "Sodom and Gomorrah". Review of "Resurrection of Eve" coming soon.
