Review:
“The 3 Way” is an exceptional production from Vivid and David Stanley that focuses on Skin Diamond and Asphyxia Noir as a married lesbian couple whose already-rocky relationship gets turned on its ear when Xander Corvus, Skin’s long lost step-brother and past love interest, pops up. Adding further fuel to the fire is the presence of Xander’s crazy ex-girlfriend (Brooklyn Lee) and Asphyxia’s slimy ex-husband (Tommy Pistol). What ensues is a powder keg of conflicting emotions and physical attraction that ultimately explodes into a steamy burst of sexual energy. Of course, it’s all captured on film for the enjoyment of the viewer, and—fortunately—things do conclude on a high note…but not before taking a rough ride through some dark territory.

In terms of the sex, there are a few mini-scenes interspersed amongst the primary segments. Of note is the quick girl/girl action between Asphyxia and Skin that’s presented in the form of a flashback and takes place on the kitchen floor. Also noteworthy is the quick masturbation and massive “squirting” that Mason Moore partakes in at Skin’s and Asphyxia’s tattoo parlor. Apparently, getting a pelvic tattoo has aphrodisiacal properties. In the first primary sequence (Scene One), Xander Corvus takes on Jada Fire in a hotel room. The blowjob work here is nice, as are the various vaginal positions—which include a sexy belly-down rear-entry position. This very-good-to-excellent segment closes out with a pop-shot on Jada’s breasts—nice start! Scene Two is a real scorcher—one of the better that I’ve seen lately—as it involves Brooklyn Lee (Xander’s ex) and her whipped employee (Anthony Rosano) in the dining area of her restaurant. Brooklyn—who’s a strawberry blonde here—really puts forth a strong performance, as she sensually dominates Anthony through a variety of hot vaginal and anal positions. The cum-shot is delivered to Brooklyn’s splayed-open pussy in capping this amazing and sultry sequence off. As a note, every time that I’ve seen Brooklyn in a scene, she’s delivered—definitely one of the best newer starlets out there.

In Scene Three, Asphyxia Noir—a raven-haired actress with an alt-twist—gets it on with her partner’s (Skin’s) step-brother and unrequited love interest—Xander Corvus—in his bedroom. The tension that ultimately builds into this scene is immense, and its hushed and muffled nature—so as not to awaken Skin in the other room—really ramps up the heat. The oral work in this one is steamy, and a variety of erotic vaginal positions are employed, before it’s all finished off with a pop from behind on Asphyxia’s face and neck—again, excellent stuff! Scene Four involves a frenzied, vengeance fuck between Skin and Asphyxia’s ex-husband (Tommy Pistol) in the tattoo parlor after Skin finds out that Asphyxia and Xander have gotten it on. Not only is there some hot oral (face-fucking, throating, gagging) and vaginal work here, but Skin also gives up her ass to Tommy’s (flesh) pistol. A facial closes out this excellent endeavor—hot! In Scene Five, things all get worked out—and old bridges are repaired—as Skin, Asphyxia, and Xander have a three-way in their house on a sheet-covered sofa. There’s hot oral action all-around in this one—including some double-blowjob work—and Xander penetrates both women. The festivities come to a close with a double-pussy pop-shot on Skin and Asphyxia…who are stacked on top of one another in missionary positions—excellent material. Of course, everyone lives happily ever after.

Some other items should also be noted. The acting in this release is generally strong, the plot is very good and also fairly believable, and the settings are realistic. The stars, of course, are top-notch and so is the action. The production values are also solid, as is the camerawork, and everything comes together to establish the moods of the scenes quite well. This is all a lot more important than one might otherwise think. It works. (As an aside: there is a website watermark in the lower-right portion of the screen that isn’t horribly noticeable, and advertisements play upon inserting the disc…but they can be skipped by hitting the “Menu” button on the remote.)

Extras-wise, there’s a “Bonus Scene”—a Skin, Asphyxia, Barry Scott sequence from the production “Runaway” (Skin does anal)—and there’s an interesting ~20 minute “Behind the Scenes” featurette. One also finds a “Photo Gallery” (a slideshow of stills from the production), a choice of four “Previews”, and a “Vivid Extras” option (plays through some advertisements and the FSC anti-piracy PSA). These are good bonuses.

In all, this is a strong, plot-driven production from David Stanley and Vivid that also brings forth a heaping of steamy sex scenes…with Brooklyn’s segment arguably being the best. The cast is awesome—Skin, Asphyxia, Brooklyn, Xander, etc.—and the acting and plot come off quite well. This is worthy. Check it out.
