Someone came up with a clever idea: to parody the white house intern scandal with a gay version of same. Having done that they obviously didn't think they had to do more. What a brilliant opportunity thrown away! Dino Phillips is the President and Seth Black is the new intern. Now I like both of these perfomers, but they just go through the motions here. They don't even attempt to feign interest in one another. It's just let's do it, get the check, and go home. So Dino screws Seth with a huge picture of George Washington on the desk watching it all. There are two additional scenes with white house staff members, but they aren't any better. And there's a final scene with the President's favorite intern, Leo Masters. But once again, the Prez seems indifferent. Maybe, he's worried about the state of the economy. As I said, this could have been a fun film with Seth turning into a Monica Lewinski, attempts to dissuade him...the possibilites are endless! Why didn't anyone pursue them? Because they knew the concept alone would sell this film.

Let me start by saying that I like Latin and Hispanic men. And I like hot sex. And I even like trade. What I don't like is street urchins lured by drugs & cash to do something in which they have to interest and into which they put no soul. The three couplings in this DVD are lackluster performances by three pairs of young (?) men who I am sure were street hustlers past their prime when this video was originally taped and who have hopefully long since retired. A/V quality is lackluster; extras are non-existant (as is plot); acting is poor and, with one very marginal exception, based on the performers' looks, even the cat wouldn't have dragged them in.

Once again, Ive been compelled into buying another Sunshine production this time it was cover man Eric Evans hairy chest that made me reach into my wallet and cough up my hard earned money. With a title like Spy Hard, you might expect a complex espionage epic ala CatalinaVille. Unfortunately, the story here is about as paper thin as you can get. Gabe Rivers and Cole Reece start things out, talking very briefly about the sinister Goldfister, who is ruining all the bottoms in gay porn. Apparently, Cole is Spy Hards version of Q, and describes all sorts of kinky sex weapons he created for our hero (Eric Evans). (I would have loved to see the tazer tit-clamps or dildo death-ray in action!) Cole has a relatively toned body, and a nice coat of fur on him.

I had just put a new DVD into the player, and then did something I had never done before. I decided to watch the extras first. In doing this, one of the previews was for THE MENTOR a film I had had sitting on the shelf unseen for months. One of the scenesthe one with Frank Taylor getting boffed by Patrick Ivescaused my, uh, interest to rise. There was nothing for it but to pop out the DVD in the player, pop in THE MENTOR and pop out mynever mind. As one can tell by the title and by the pairing of a young guy with an older one in each of the scenes, the older guy is to teach the younger one something about life or sports, but always about sex. The first up is Mark Masson to instruct Peter Wilder. They are the only two diners in a fancy restaurant. The unshaven Mark looks too disreputable to be dinning in style. There are scraggly hairs clumped on his face that look like spiders fucking. Obviously appearance and personal hygiene are not part of the lesson. Instead he is teaching Peter about manners and is correcting his English. This latter making him somewhat of a prick.
