Agony Of Ecstasy, The reviews:
review on

Description This is a documentary about the making of Kristen Bjorn's Crossroads of Desire. It follows the filming of five scenes, each including 3 or 4 performers, and each taking four days to film. It also includes brief interview questions with 15 of the 16 performers. General Impression I have several times heard the advice given to porn fans not to visit a porn set if they want to continue to enjoy porn. It has been said that, "you don't want to see ketchup being made." Near the end of this documentary, Bjorn discusses that idea with some of the performers - "Not everyone wants to see how it's made." "They want the fantasy, right?" "It ruins the fantasy, but it's good for those who want to know." Before seeing this documentary, you can decide for yourself how curious you are. This movie does provide just about everything you'd want to know about the making of porn.

Hotel Cazzo reviews:
review on

Kristen Bjorn and his Sarava Productions are branching out a bit with this film from the European studio, Cazzo. Bjorn and Sarava traditionally present godlike men in imaginative sexual encounters with numerous cum shots. Cazzo men are rough, masculine, and just suck n fuck. They are more like the performers we find in Renegade than any other American studio, and not at all what one finds in Bjorn, Borbely, Kazan, Higgins, or Handsome. The film opens with a group of tourists arriving at an Italian airport where they are met by Christophe Blanc holding up a sign for Hotel Davide. Our gang piles into a minibus and as they drive to the hotel we get glimpses of Florence, the Duomo, the butt of the outdoor copy of Michelangelos David, etc. Arriving at the hotel some of the guests nap, others shower, Blanc sits on a sofa and masturbates. A cute young servant brings towels to a bathroom where a black man and his lover have been showering, and seeing the naked bodies beats a shy retreat. (He will become much bolder later on.

Under The Big Top (Sarava) reviews:
review on

Ten of the most gorgeous men working in porn have sex which is sometimes lyrical, sometimes mechanical, under the direction of Lucas Kazan. Set in a circus tent, two of the 4 scenes are based loosely on the opera "Pagliacci". Two flip-flop duos, one threesome and one quartet.

Having used opera as an inspiration for LElisir DAmore and A Sicilian Tale (Cavalleria Rusticana), Lucas Kazan has now taken the plot of Leoncavallos I Pagliacci to create Under the Big Top. The strolling commedia del arte players of the opera have been updated as circus performers. Nedda the unfaithful wife becomes Nello. Other characters names remain the same. The opera opens with a sung prologue. A favorite among operatic baritones. Unfortunately Kazan has made the disastrous choice of having it sung by a singer who cannot sing it. Why, he didnt dub it if he wanted to use it, is beyond me. Wisely the singer does not try for the high notes at the end. He would have been even wiser not to have attempted the aria in the first place. Opera lovers and non-opera lovers alike will cringe and I suggst they just move on to chapter two where we find two supreme examples of masculine pulchritude (Slava Petrovitch, the Nello, and Pietro Rosselli, the Canio) kissing on the beach. The lovers are then discovered under the big top where Pietro is licking Slavas balls and luscious uncut cock.

Sicilian Tale, A reviews:
review on

Filmed entirely in Sicily, Saravas A SICILIAN TALE directed by Lucas Kazan and produced by Kristen Bjorn is nothing short of superb. It is based on the famous "Cavalleria Rusticana by Giovanni Verga that I remember having to translate in second-year Italian. It was also the basis of the celebrated opera by Mascagni. In this work a peasant girl Santuzza discovers that her lover Turiddu is playing around with a married woman called Lola. Confronting her lover with his unfaithfulness, she is laughed at and scorned. In revenge she tells Lolas husband Alfio of the affair, whereupon Alfio challenges Turiddu to a duel and kills him. In Kazans all-male version, Santuzza becomes Santo and Lola becomes Luca. The beautiful Federico Bulsara plays Santo; Turiddu is the handsome Vilem Cage; Alfio is sexy Lucas Foz; and Luca is played by Alexander (Sasha) Byazrov.

Making it with Kristen Bjorn reviews:

[ /image ] --> [ /image ] --> [ /image ] --> [ /image ] --> [ /image ] --> Director: Kristen Bjorn Have you ever wondered what it's like on the set on a porno movie? God knows I have. For some reason, I always assumed porno sets were nonstop parties, where guys just showed up and had amazing sex in front of the cameras. But you'll quickly see from watching Making it... that isn't the case at all. During the filming of Wet Dreams Part 1 and 2, Kristen hired someone to hang out on the set, and capture the whole porn process on tape. Making it with Kristen Bjorn is made up of behind the scenes footage of all 8 scenes from the Wet Dreams videos, as well as interviews with many of the models. The behind-the-scenes footage is very interesting, and contains pretty much everything you would expect: naked guys hanging around, warming up before the shoot, taking breaks, goofing off, bloopers, photo shoots, etc... The actual footage is great, however Kristen's narration is kind of dry.

Behind The Curtain: The Making of Moscow reviews:
review on

So you want to make a porn film? Of course you could just set up a camera and photograph two models fucking--as many of the porn directors do, OR you could get really serious about it and aim for something higher. Such as getting a plot, scouting out a location, getting the best looking hunks available, hiring the best cameramen and technicians, and having enough resources and patience to shoot a scene twenty or more times in order to get exactly what you want. The latter is what Kristen Bjorns camera man and right-hand man, The Bear, chose to do in his exceptional film Moscow: The Power of Submission. It sounds like making a Hollywood film, doesnt it? And indeed it is. Behind the Curtain is a documentary about the making of this Russian epic. Oh, a documentary, you say unenthusiastically, thinking it will be boring. Well, guess again, Horatio. Even if you are not interested in film making, Im sure you are interested in seeing magnificent specimens of manhood parading around nude and getting instructions on how to suck and fuck.

Out in Tuscany reviews:
review on

Notes There weren't any reviews up for this movie, or even a cast list. Given a choice between not doing a review at all and just giving a brief sketch of the movie, I opted for the latter. I don't know a fair way to set the value for the movie. Gay movies are priced too high, so I plan to always list the value as $25.00. General Impression Shot on location in Tuscany, this movie has a strong emphasis on aesthetics - beautiful settings, beautiful music, and good-looking men. The rather sweet music is a good fit for the tempo and spirit of the scenes, and was not generally too loud -- the natural sounds were still clear. The characters are mostly 'farmboys' who have very nice haircuts and are sauna-scrubbed and squeaky clean under those shirtless overalls. I almost want to call this one The eye-contact movie, as they seem to have had a lot of fun with that, as well. The plot, such as it is, involves an interloper who visits a small village and witnesses or joins a few sexual encounters.

Director: The Bear Cast:Slava Petrovich, Alexsander Byazrov, Kirill Veronkov, Yegor Seleznyov, Nestor Firsov, Boris Vladimirovich, Dima Chichay, Pyotr Chernov, Anton Sekhin, Vanya Viktorovich, Story: I didnt quite get what the story was all about. A Russian soldier gets abducted by the KGB, and 2 and a hours of sex ensues. The story is actually quite interesting for the first half of the movie, but it kind of looses focus towards the end. Of course, it could be that I was just too busy jacking off to catch what had happened. Scene One After Slava gets picked up and thrown into prison by the KGB, he recalls the time he watched 4 young soldiers get busy in a hotel. Damn, these boys are cute! They seem a little younger than what you normally films Kristen Bjorn directs, but they arent twinks by any means. Nester is my favorite in this scene hes got a sexy- fratboy vibe going for him.

[ /image ] --> [ /image ] --> [ /image ] --> [ /image ] --> [ /image ] --> Director: Lucas Kazan Cast: Pietro Cattani, Victor Racek, Glauco, Favio Rossini, Marco Ramazzotti, Daniele Della Valle, Daniele Barbareschi, Tony Colombo, Michelangelo Risi, Roberto Ruggiero, Raul Veneziani Story: Theres no story here. Just 4 unrelated vignettes shot on location in Italy. Scene One - The Palace Whoa, this has the makings for a great scene. My favorite older salt and pepper haired hunk from Italian Style (Peitro Cattani) teams up with the delicious Victor Racek (Victor is actual Czech, not Italian, though.) But whats this? Before the scene even starts up, we switch to Victor lying in bed with some other Italian hunk. Victor wakes up his lover with some soft nipple kisses, and a sensual blowjob. All of a sudden, we switch back to the other scene with Peitro. Looks like were going to be going back and forth between these two scenes for a while.
