This is a pretty good 4-pack, especially when one considers the price point. The four movies here are above average but not great, but do contain some nice recognizable stars. The technical aspects are nicely handled for the age, and there's also a bit of effort put into the extras for each release. At the price point this one's being offered, it's worth a look.

If you want a nice collection of older couples friendly films, this set is well worth the purchase. You get plenty of big names (such as Tera Patrick, jessica drake, and Silvia Saint) along with a nice mix of style and substance. The technical aspects are well done for the age of the releases and there's a few decent extras as well. At the price point this one's being offered, this release is well worth picking up.

Katwoman XXX reviews:
review on

This is a very ambitious release that works quite well. Dylan Ryder looks nothing short of fantastic in her Katwoman outfit, and is given a decent story to work around along with a very talented cast. The special effects and costumes are very nicely done, and helped out by some very nice care towards the technical aspects. The extras, unfortunately, show virtually no effort and hold the release back just a touch. This is a very hot and nicely done release that's well worth checking out if you're a fan of superhero or costumed porn.

So, what do we have here? A tale featuring a particularly iconic and sexy villainess/anti-heroine played by the busty Dylan Ryder. Her adventures bring her into contact with other noteworthy super-characters, all of whom end up in the middle of some erotic hijinks.

Batfxxx Dark Night Parody reviews:
review on

Here we get a porn take on the last installment in the Batman franchise, the one which featured the Oscar winning and classic performance by the late Heath Ledger. Paul Chaplin takes on that role in this and by all accounts I think did very good. The other characters are here too from Nick Manning as the Bat and the other main character was Madelyn Marie was Katwoman-- she rocks in this and appears in a few swinging scenes. The orgy was the dominant form of sexual expression in this movie and it made sense with the story as it unfolded. The Jo-Kerr played by Paul has a device that once sprayed in the air helps everyone both bad guy and good guy to lose their sexual inhibitions and that works wonders when you have multiple folks around. Some good scenes here too with just a few folks in them, the first scene of the movie was such a scene with Nick having some Bat fun with Kristina Rose and Blake Rose. If you liked the Heath version then definitely check this parody out, it's worth it.

Scandal, The (Adam & Eve) reviews:
review on

Prologue This is an A&E feature. Definitely not my metier but I had a hair up my ass about seeing Dee in action. Such a beautiful woman, with a rack that proves the existence of a higher power. At least it makes me say "omigod". I digress. I don't expect the sex to be balls to the wall and won't be marking down for a lacking of circus acts and anal plundering. I'm nothing if not fair. Buttressing this film is Marie Luv, Terri Summers and Chanel Chavez. The eye candy factor is extreme. Even the guys are decent looking. This could be pretty good. Dee is out for a morning run. I think a sports bra would be a good investment. Dee's tits are practically slapping her in the face. She stumbles in front of Sean Michaels as he retrieves his morning mail and he helps her up. Turns out that Sean is a star football player and he has a papparazzo across the street aiming his camera at him.

Snow Job (Adam & Eve) reviews:
review on

Snow Job Adam & Eve Running Time: 90 Minutes The story here is about a group of people that come up to a cabin on Big Bear Lake after a death. Everyone that is at the cabin is in the will of the person in question. The characters in this story are as follows: Greg (Steve Drake) the deceased, Gwen (August) is the executor of the estate, Frank (Steven St. Croix) Greg's best friend, Rita (Carmen Luvana) Greg's widowed wife. Lucy (Eve Laurence) Greg's daughter, and Beverley (Britney Skye) Greg's wife before Rita. There are 6 scenes in the movie, 3 of them are flashbacks. The box cover is a little decieving in that you think Carmen Luvana is the central character. The movie really revolves around August and Steven St. Croix's characters. They have two scenes in the movie together. Appropriately enough the first and last scenes. The first scene is a flashback of them up at the cabin. They are so hot for each other that they decide to just do it on the staircase. The second scene is outside on the snow. Both end with popshots on the belly.

Racer X Adam & Eve Running Time: 85 minutes Adam & Eve release another title with contract girl Carmen Luvana. The story revolves around a group of frieds who all work at a warehouse together. They also all love street racing. Everything is happy until a new supervisor is hired. For the most part the whole movie takes place in or around the warehouse where they work. The sex in the movie is average. Carmen has the two best scenes in the movie. The first is with here boyfriend, played by Steven St. Croix. The other is with Chris Evans who is the new supervisor. The scenes are the first and last of the movie. Both also happen to have Carmen bend over the hoods of the guys street racers. The only other scene worth a mention is the one between Eve Laurence and Chanelle Chavez, who plays Carmen's best friend. Earlier in the movie Chenelle actually fucks Steven which causes him and Carmen to breakup. Both the girls are dressed kinda tom-boyish. from the dialougue it sounds as though the characters have been lovers a while, and it shows.

Dinner Party 3: Cocktales reviews:
review on

The Dirty Debutantes series is on one extreme end of the porn spectrum. Amateurish production values, unattractive girls (for the most part), no script, and a middle-aged, unattractive male for the star. On the other end of said spectrum is Dinner Party #3, a Nicholas Steele offering from Ultimate. This is a stylish couples feature; kind of Michael Ninn meets Andrew Blake. There are plenty of special affects, strange sets, soft lighting, elevator music, beautiful women and, unfortunately, the ever-present vanilla sex. Carmen Luvana is the hostess of this dinner party, whose guests sit around the table talking about their most intimate sexual adventures and fantasies. I know thats the key topic at every dinner party I attend.

That said, Adam & Eve has really waited a long time for this one, including renaming The Fiesta, which was originally to be The Dinner Party 3. That reason more than anything might be why I have hope for this movie. Initial Reaction: Its often beautiful, but just as often doesnt get too hot. Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting highly artistic and creative porn Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting nastier porn The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very well done.

Vortexxx reviews:
review on

Vortexxx is a decent couples flick that actually has a plot worth following, a stop-the-presses discovery in Pornland. The storyline has a bunch of friends sneaking into a spooky old house. Is it haunted? Who cares? Theres plenty of good fucking to be had, so they dont let a few creepy noises or ghosts stop them. Felicia Fox and Cheyne Collins leave the others to explore the mansion. They end up in a dark bedroom and screw ending in a tit cumshot. Cytherea and Billy Glyde also find an abandoned room and make the most of it. Cytherea does her trademark squirt job here and takes Billys popshot on her butt. This scene suffers greatly from the use of what I unaffectionately call flowerpot camerawork. In this case, its a candleholder on the table that the director chooses to shoot the action from behind. Very distracting and agitating. Next, Sophie Evans and Randy Spears romp in a shower and, again, much of the action is shot through a decorative shower door, thereby obscuring most of the view. Aaaargh! Somehow, somewhere, Spears got transported back in time to 1931.

This will only take one paragraph. This is striclkly couples fare. I know, I know. Thats all A&E puts. Out. Well, I have seen harder material from them, and this is not it. Nothing wrong with this flick if your fancy is couples oriented porn, but for the raincoaters out there, stay away from this one. It is very sexy, so for the ladies and the guy who wants to show his date that his isnt into freak show porn (even though he wont let her see what he has in his closet), this will do just fine. Not heavy, just light clean fun.

Code Blue gets its title from the radio call sign used by firefighters to signal an emergency. It should have been called Code Blue Balls, as the sex is so weak and the storyline so lame, thats what the viewer is left with. I wont bore you with the details of the couples plot; suffice to say theres a new guy in the firehouse and everybody gets laid. There is only one anal scene, only one facial, and typical couples music throughout. Natalia Wood goes first and is paired with Steven St. Croix in a dimly-lit rooftop scene. Both look bored as they go through the motions of a standard Nicholas Steele scene (plenty of stupid camera angles that hide most of the action) that ends in a tummy cumshot. Cute streaked brunette Brooke and Lee Stone hook up in the firehouse gym. Steele, in his infinite wisdom, shoots most of the scene from behind a heavy bag and a pillar. Again, theres very little heat here and Lee finally comes on her tits. Cheyne Collins takes on Dominica Leoni (and her huge, unsightly shoulder tat) outdoors next to an ambulance.

In a word: Dispiriting. The gist: This certainly isn't the dumbest feature I've ever seen. That would probably be "Rawhide," the last Nicholas Steele movie I saw. Why did I come back for more? Because Carmen Luvana is beautiful, and I'm still looking for a movie of hers that I'll like. After five or six tries, sadly, I'm still looking. The good news is, this one is bad in ways that are occasionally hilarious. The plot: It's sort of a "Heaven Can Wait" device. Carmen is doing research on paranormal activity at a cemetery. A ghostly Steven St. Croix shows her how she can relive the fondest memories of the dearly departed from other eras. Luckily for us, they think about fucking a lot. They don't call it a boneyard for nothing (rim shot). The play-by-play: We start with Nevaeh Ashton and Cheyne Collins at a picnic at the turn of the century, with appropriate costumes. Wow, the dialogue is insufferably bad, even by porn standards, and Cheyne is trying out some horrible goofball accent. They pour some tea, and ... my god, they're using tea bags.

review on

Hollywood Guru is a couples flick featuring some decent talent and okay sex action, but it could put a stroker to sleep quickly. The predictably soft music throughout is an insomniacs best friend. It even plays during the Behind the Scenes bonus feature. Zzzzzz. The movie employs Adam & Eves traditional camera work, that is, lots of Playboy Channel shooting. There are more shots of the couples kissing and fondling then there are of close-ups of actual penetration. There are no anal scenes and no facials in director Nicholas Steeles effort. In other words, invite Mom and Dad over to watch. Its that vanilla. Forget the plot. Its inane and hard to follow. Suffice to say, Steven St. Croix plays an enlightened man who spreads happiness to everyone he meets by reciting lines such as Truth is at the river. He wears a smock straight from the Beatles Magical Mystery Tour album collection. As for the sex, pretty blonde Taylor Lynn does a g/g with Lauren Phoenix; Phoenix takes on Randy Spears; attractive brunette Giselle gets our guru, St.

The movie begins much like a TV movie. The music can be loud, with low dialogue audio, but I only notice it when the performer's moaning is louder than the music because it fits so well. The only real problem is the muffled audio during dialogue sections. The movie doesn't just jump from sex scene to sex scene, it has a well developed plot.

Each scene is cut into two chapters in order to jump to the climax. The film is in high definition wide screen format which is awesome. Melody is a reporter trying to find out about a secret society, Steven St. Croix is her faithful private eye (or is he?), and everyone else in the movie is a member of the society. She gets drawn into their world, which results in a lot of sex. While the story is well thought out and the movies production values are great, I think it could have been better. Both the plot and the sex could have used some more development, not a lot, just a minute or two here and there.

Sweet Sounds reviews:
review on

Sweet Sounds is a bit off key and hits some sour notes. This is a couples-only flick from director Nicholas Steele that features cute Aussie Monica Mayhem as an aspiring nightclub singer. As a singer, Monica makes a good porn actress. The script for this movie could not have been more than two pages long. Every hackneyed porn cliché is used here, including long, lingering shots of the guys faces as they get blowjobs and during cumshots, cameras catching the action from behind the performers heads, and a terrible soundtrack. Considering the terrific-looking cast, this could have been a great flick. Instead it is run-of-the-mill. Jesse V. is a cute dirty blonde. She hooks up with Cheyne Collins in a kitchen scene with only two position changes and a butt cumshot. Monica is auditioning in a nightclub, singing a ballad and wearing a revealing white outfit. Record agent Cheyne is in the audience. Afterward, she and her friend/confidant Layla-Jade do a girl/girl in a bathroom, an uninspired romp that includes some toy action.

The Little Details Running Time: 105 min. (cover states 100 min.) Production Date: 12 / 2 / 2002 Director: Nicholas Steele Cast: Holly Hollywood, Cameron, Ashley Long, Bobby Eden, Laurie Wallace, Natasha Dolling, Randy Spears, Steven St. Croix, Steve Holmes, Cain, and Anthony Hardwood The Short Story Initial Expectations: Nicholas Steele has been hit or miss for me. Im not really sure what to expect here. Initial Reaction: Its okay, and definitely nothing special. Who Should Watch It : Anybody who wants an extremely softened movie Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants a movie where it feels like the people behind the camera are into sex too The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are above average. The audio is fairly clear, but some of the dialogue is hard to understand due to a slightly muffled feel and a balance that seems slightly off. The video also has a soft feel, and often feels a little over lit.

Few studios in the adult business are as generally disappointing as Adam and Eve. Either thier films lack any genuine heat and passion, or the production values are so overdone that any passion that may have been a part of the film is choked out. I'm happy to say that one of their newest films, Duchess, is not plagued with this problem. In fact, except for a very weak plot and occaionally poor camera angles, Duchess is an exceptional adult feature film. The plot, however, is terrible. Duchess, a wealthy young woman played by Holly Hollywood, is lonely with her husband, Steve Holmes, away on business. Her friends, the lovely Laurie Wallace and Cameron, try to convince her that sex is fun, and while Duchess does have an affair with the lawn boy, legendary Steven St. Croix, she rushes into the arms of her husband, and then the film ends. There is no movement, no drama, nothing that makes the plot at all interesting. Several of the actors play their roles rather well, especially St. Croix and Hollywood, but they can't make up for the poor writing.

Running Time: 113 min. Production Date: 8 / 29 / 2002 Director: Nicholas Steele Cast: Nikita Denise, Ashley, Cameron Cruise, Becca Bratt, Avy Scott, Jana Cova, Steve Holmes, Randy Spears, Lee Stone, and Steve St. Croix Initial Expectations: Nicholas Steele has been kind of hit or miss for me, so Im not quite sure what to expect. Initial Reaction: Its not a bad investment. Who Should Watch It : Couples wanting something with a light but sexy plot and sex that pushes things slightly Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting something extremely soft or with a lot of anal Audio /Video Quality: The audio left a little to be desired for me. First, the level seems a little on the low side and varies throughout the movie. Second, the balance seems off in places, although thankfully its not off so badly that it jumps right out at you. Finally, theres a few background noises throughout the feature that do jump right out at you (especially during the scene between Jana and Cameron).

Description This is a feature with a weak plot and average sex. General Impression No real stand-out scenes. Sex Starts with Randy getting his knob sucked in the shower in an average way, ends without a pop. Not a good way to open. Then Ashley does Steve Holmes in an armchair in a lobby - There's some good sex, and it should have been fun, but techno music chilled it, there were a lot of cuts to distant shots that weren't hot, and he plays with her anus but never goes in. Randy Spears is up next with Avy Scott, and I loved her fleshiness and bare feet, but she's not too responsive until the RCG, and as soon as she heats up, he stops her and cums between her tits. The music was video-game type sounds - bird-chirpy, R2D2 crap. Nikita and Steve go at it next, and she's nice, but again it just misses the mark. There's also an inexplicable off-camera cough, and about 20 seconds where the natural part of the sound just cuts off. Cameron Cruise and Jana Cova play together in a scene which is pretty, rather than hot.

The Little Details Running Time: 90 min. Production Date: 8 / 30 / 2002 Director: Nicholas Steele Cast: Jewel DeNyle, Temptress, Dru Berrymore, Jade, Flick Shagwell, Ian Daniels, Evan Stone, Randy Spears, Lee Stone, and Darren James The Short Story Initial Expectations: Nicholas Steele frequently bores the heck out of me. Even with the talent here, I cant help but expect it to happen here as well. Initial Reaction: Its a nice little couples movie. Who Should Watch It : Couples Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting longer sex scenes The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects start things off on a high note with an anamorphic widescreen transfer. The scenes are nicely lit, and the video barely has any grain. There are a couple moments where the camera moves a little fast, but thats the closest I can come to having a complaint about the video. The audio is much the same way, with the exception of the final scene.

Weekend Getaway Adam & Eve Feature Starring: Jewel De'Nyle, Flick Shagwell, Temptress, Jade, Dru Berrymore, Lee Stone, Darren James, Ian Daniels, Evan Stone, and Randy Spears Directed By:Nicholas Steele Running Time:Feature: 85 minutes, Total: 171 minutes RATINGS Feature:7.97 Extras:9.97 Sex:7.97 TOTAL:8.64 Compliance Statement FEATURE This is shot in high definition wide screen format, and is crystal clear. The audio is low but clear and it varies a little throughout the film. The plot is based on Randy Spears amd Jewel De'Nyle, two ex-fiances, and their friends as they mistakenly book a cabin for the same weekend. Both Jewel and Randy had insisted on a same sex vacation but eventially their friends give in to temptation and sex is rampant, until Jewel and Randy reconcile their differences with some hard sex. This is an average porn that is held up by its production values and a hot cast of women. Both the sex and nonsex portions of the film are hurt because they aren't fleshed out enough.

The voice overs are also on the soft side, which had me adjusting the volume repeatedly so I wouldnt be blasted away, and quite a few areas were obviously dubbed.

For Adam & Eve, whose efforts are either "too artsy" or too poorly done to be enjoyable, Virgin Canvas is quite beautiful. If only the film's writing and acting were of such quality. The premise of the film is an interesting, if not unique, idea; a young female art student arrives at an elite art school, whose older director gives her an education in art and passion. This concept is blostered by the casting of porn veteran Steven St. Croix as the art director. St. Croix is no longer the stud he was a few years ago in the sex department, but he was always, in my opinion, the finest pure actor the adult industry has ever had and he has not lost any of that. Steven does a fine job with the poor material, yet what dooms the plot is the horrific acting of the star Kate Frost. There is a reason why this gorgeous blonde is in the adult industry and not in mainstream films, and it has little to do with her abilities as a sex performer. Kate is supposed to evolve in the film, from an innocent young student to a passionate artist, yet she shows no sign of such a transformation.

Description This feature has a lame story about a student at an art institute. General Impression The sex in this movie is okay, but not outstanding. It's a bit better if you skip to the sex, avoiding the plot, and keep the sound low. The dvd is somewhat redeemed by the bonus scenes. This is the world's strangest art institute. It's extremely upscale, and yet the easels are flimsy and cheap. All the female students are slim babes, and although the men wear what they like, the females have a uniform that includes a mini-skirt slit up the front to the crotch. Oh, yeah, and the art is just a step above stick-figures. You won't like the fake, wooden, lofty dialogue, either. Sex The first scene features Sondra Hall with Julian. He handles her fake tits before they expose each other's unfortunate tattoos. A big, nice dick, but the stupid sun tattoo above it is pretty distracting. However, when the bj is shot pov, it looks very nice, with some good eye contact. Condom RCG with no tit-jiggle.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting period style sex with lower lighting Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting highly lit scenes Audio /Video Quality: The audio is clear, with the non-sex portions having nicely done voice-overs and the sex scenes normally having the audio synching well with the video. There are a few areas that are dubbed, but the majority isnt. The video is nicely presented in anamorphic widescreen. It has a slightly soft feel, and every now and then a remnant flashes past.

Who Should Watch It : Couples who dont want much of a plot but do want some slightly artistic sex Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants a lot of plot or nastier sex Audio /Video Quality: The audio is clear and well balanced without any sign of background noises. The video is nicely presented in anamorphic widescreen. To me, this is a great plus for a movie, and Nicholas Steele seems to be learning how to use the format more with every new feature he releases in it.
